I think it's about time that there are some new advanced skills in the game. I think that they should be used in the 5th tier class skills as the last class upgrade had the Pandora's key quest and hundreds of skill points to put in damage modifiers. So make 2 unique skills for each class with a series of quests with big skill point rewards. Some new advanced skills I'd like are:

Skillful ++

Demonic Fury 135 / 135 (27%)
Your demonic powers are enhanced by this skill. For each point you gain an additional 0.2% Demonic Possession bonus. (Requires Diabolic Class)


Blood Drinker 35 / 35 (17.5%)
For each point in the skill, you have a 0.5% chance to drain 2 blood. (Requires Diabolic Class)


Pyramidic Totem 55 / 55 (11%)
For each point in this skill you gain .2% more chance of the Dark Pyramid skill working.


Astral Learner 70 / 70 (7%)
For each point in this skill, you gain an additional 0.1% casting experience per cast.


Skilled Enchanter 70 / 70 (7%)
For each point in this skill, you gain an additional 0.1% enchantment casting experience per cast.


Piercing Surge 35 / 35 (7%)
With each skill point increase your chance to perform a mana surge on a creature with enchanted armour. 0.2% per point. (Requires Mana Surge)

That sounds good and all, but why can't we just get the skills we should already have from 5th tier?? And of course me being a demon, I vote for demonic fury.

The original skills are pretty weak and didn't receive a good welcome and you can vote for more than one.

I personally like

skilled enchanter - lets face it, the big enchants suck to level
astral learner - dmg for mages is based on wisdom, it is independent of levels and yet there are 2 seperate extra exp generating skill points
piercing surge - it's manifestly unfair to give melee characters an ac by-passer on enchanted armour when mages don't get one for resistances




I DISLIKE

Skillful++ - the original values for everything (exclusive of the unslotter skill) were predcated and (hopefully) balanced at a set amount of points, increasing it further I personally feel would push the balance of the skills (as suplemental good ideas) to MUST-HAVEs and potentially open the door to "well we did it before, so why not again" and then see skillfull Elite giving us 15 % deathblows, 75 % avoid death, 45% more class damage, 20%+ kindred spirit

it just takes the fun out of it
