for some reason i think that those experiences are going into the wrong slot. let's take weapon and armor smithing as an example. i will pratically need more ores than bar to make my armor/weapon. when i smelt those ores the experience should have been split between weapon smith and armour smith instead it went into prospecting instead. at level 5 weapon smithing and 8 armour smithing but 20 prospecting? it does not balance out too well if i may say so. please take a better look into the experience allocation and adjust accordingly.

This is correct. You are still dealing with the raw elements when you make bars, craft cloth, etc. These processing steps are intended to benefit the base gathering skills.
