Would you please explain to others what Discord is, and what it is used for? I was unaware, and had to do some research.

It's time to stockpile resources and hold 'em tight! Can you defend the spoils you've earned?
This Sunday we’ll be running a Raid Resources Event! Points will be awarded for raiding other players and stealing their resources.
Raid Resources Event
Begins: Saturday 10th September - 23:00 UTC (19:00 EDT)
Ends: Sunday 11th September - 23:00 UTC (19:00 EDT)
This Event will be following an Alliance Gather Resources Event, so there should be a lot of treasure floating around! The Alliance Gather Resources Event begins at 23:00 UTC on September 9th and runs for 24 hours!
Work together with your Alliance and don't be afraid to pop off a shield to keep the wolves at bay!
What other strategies are you going to employ to win big this weekend?

This is a great call! It's very good to start the dialogue with folks before recruiting them / joining their alliance.
It's no good when your default chat room is full of knuckleheads.

Is your Army ready to move out?
This Saturday we’ll be hosting a Defeat Enemy Units Event! Points will be awarded for defeating the troops of other players.
Employ cunning tactics! Consider using Facility Shields, Anti-Scout buffs, or the Security Station to house your units somewhere safe if you see a deployment headed your way!
Defeat Units Event
Begins: Friday 2nd September - 23:00 UTC (19:00 EDT)
Ends: Saturday 3rd September - 23:00 UTC (19:00 EDT)
On another note, our v1.02 update is ready to go!
This update features graphical improvements, improved user experience, and new Alliance caches that can be earned from defeating Alien sectors level 5 and above. There’s going to be a period of server downtime while we implement the new version, beginning Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 15:00 UTC. Estimated downtime is 4 hours.
During the downtime, we're also going to purging inactive players from Realm Alpha 1. Players who have been inactive for 14 days have been abducted to make room for more new players in that realm.
Patch notes here: http://bit.ly/2c7bAXZ
We hope you’re enjoying the game! Let us know what tactics you'll be employing to win big this weekend!

This seems fair. While I can't promise that this'll happen in an upcoming build, I will make sure that the team knows about it. Thanks for the feedback, guys!

You may be needed over in the off topic counting thread. Much work to be done, there.

Hey Zath! Sorry to hear you're having issues like that.
The team has heard that some players are having issues with hardcrashing while on the World Map. They've been looking into it and with luck this should be addressed in the v1.02 update coming in a week or so. Sorry for the inconvenience!

So! This is a sweet idea and the studio is going to look into doing this for us. However, they're very busy right now with the launch of the game and it's first few updates. Once someone on the team has the bandwidth, we'll ask them to throw together the banners for us.
Thanks for your patience, didn't mean to leave you hanging!

~
Also of interest is that our first game update, v1.02 will become available in the next two weeks. The team has been hard at work on this update and it and features graphical improvements, improved user experience, and new Alliance caches that can be earned from defeating Alien sectors level 5 and above.

I'll chime in here.
Yes! You can input the exact coordinates you want to view, if that's what you're looking to do.
From the World Map, tap the bookmark icon in the lower right corner of the screen. From here you can type in the X and Y coords that you want to check out.
It'll also display any custom bookmarks you've created. You can also use this menu to rename or delete your bookmarks.
Hope this helps.

Have you spent any time looking at the Hero Skills tree in the game?
You can find the tree by tapping your Heroes portrait (you recruit a Hero after building a Command Post which becomes available when your HQ is level 3) then tapping Hero Skills.
You'll gain Hero Skill points every time your Hero levels up, and there's a pretty sizable Skill Tree to spend your points on. Many of the Skills have prerequisites, and unless otherwise stated, you'll need 3 points in any Skills connected to the Skill you want to rank up.
Take some time to examine the different options! Be sure to note how much the +% bonus increases as you max out the Skill. Does anything stand out as incredibly useful to you? Have you already started working towards a goal with your Skill Points? If so, what kind of build are you trying?
Please discuss. I'm sure many players will want to know how to tackle this beast, so let's give them some tips!

Edit: FAQs can be found here: https://www.opnewearth.com/help
Our player support team rocks! They're friendly, informed, and helpful.
They've built out a sweet Knowledge Base that includes articles outlining a variety of in-game features. You can find all of this right in the game itself! Just tap the Settings icon in the bottom right and then tap Game Help. If you’re unable to get in to the game for some reason, you can also visit them at OpNewEarth.com/help
If you need help, you can use the search option at the top or look through the available articles to see if there's anything related to the issue you're experiencing. If you don't see anything, feel free to reach out to player support by tapping the "Submit a request" or “Contact us” buttons. Please do this if you're stuck somehow, unable to play, or if you're having issues with a purchase you've made.
If you've noticed a minor bug, have some design feedback, or if you find that something in the game is behaving strangely, feel free to contact our Player Support team about that as well! It can be helpful to call out in your message when you're providing feedback or submitting a bug report, as this will help them pass the information to the developers faster.
I'd also like to express that our Player Support team isn't able to supply information about the optimal strategy of play. The best place to develop strategies, ask in-depth questions about game mechanics, and learn how to optimally build your facilities is right here on the forums with other members of the Community.
Also, as a sidenote, if you're looking through the Knowledge Base and you see some information that isn't correct, or if you're looking for information and you can't find it, please feel free to send us some feedback about it! In time, you folks are the going to become the most passionate and knowledgable people when it comes to the game, so your contributions will help us keep the Knowledge Base as healthy as possible.

Hello and welcome to the Official Hunted Cow forums for Operation: New Earth!
If you haven't installed the game already, go ahead and open one of these links to get started:
Android: http://bit.ly/2boEpPG
As the Operation: New Earth community grows, let's introduce ourselves and welcome newcomers!
I’ll start! I go by the name of Newt Chromium. I’m a Community Manager for WG Cells, which is the publishing company that worked together with Hunted Cow to launch this game.
I live in Seattle, I like to juggle and play games, and I love food. I’ve been playing New Earth every day for about a month and at it's become my personal mission to clear out all the neglected resource nodes with less than 100k resources in them. Did you know that they respawn locally? Clearing them out is a great way to help your Alliance & neighbors!
Anyway, what about you? Please, tell us a bit about yourself. Don’t be shy!
