Ok, I confirmed this with someone who also has the same friend, but when looking over the servers one friend never shows up, but as soon as i log in, i can see him on friend list. This is not a case of alts etc. this person either doesn;t have an alt or rarely uses one.

Yep, notice 1 guy in friends list was like that too. Added him to trade something before, and noticed he wasn't showing up on server list, but he was online, etc.

it happens to me too. i just assume that they're annoyed with me and decided to ignore me for a bit. then i dwell on it. then i decide to hunt them down on TA and stalk them like a cat seeking out their prey. I mean, why would they do that to me? It drives me crazy and consumes me until they say "hey chels, what's up?" Then I realize, it must be some sort of bug making my friends invisible at times.

nope, not you guth. heh. it is just weird. almost as weird as a "newer" bug in Gothador where the entire player is invis. it is handy when exchanging gold for platinum, especially since the two best exchanges are in pvp areas.
