     We certainly have gotten a change (proposed) in PvP.  Since I'm not active in that area, I'm not going to say good or bad, but I do hope that if problems arise during the first week or so that they'll be worked on in a timely fashion.

    Maybe during that first week kills would not be counted towards any major awards?  Give everyone a chance to find their footing so to speak.

     Also, since this update still includes the prestige points, how about removing the prestige from the looser and granting it to the victor?  If the looser has not any prestige points, the winner would still receive some, put at a lower rate.  Probably a too late suggestion, but there it is.

Interesting point, lol. 

 

And come to think of it... the target setup (hoping cloak is included) will need to be updated with each refresh.

As I've read through the forum posts, I am shocked!

1 hit bounties?

no more 100 stams?

no more posting bounties?

the game posts bounties for us?

no more smashing bounties or defending guildmates?

no more ladder?

no more dominance?

no more pvp level ranges?

 

This system seems to benefit two types of players. Rich and high level.

Some positive feedback:

EOC will have something to do since they're bottle necking at the top.

All players are once again pvp targets. Although I seriously wonder how PvP protection plays a part in all of this.

No one can be bountied by a player so if I want to break hourly on a player I can with no fear of losing 5 or 500 levels.

 

There is virtually a zero chance of ever losing a battle you initiate. We will all be PvP gods!

 

This will be a massive gold sink.

 

Sitting in Epics for stam gain will not be a good idea as a player 2000 levels below you can beat you.

Ok so I may have missed this somewhere in trying to read through all the posts rather quickly.

 

 So there is something similar to a rating given (ie points to rank up) at the end of a successful combat round.

       Is there going to be something that increases or reduces points based on level gaps between opponents? (IE a 200 vs a 2000)?

^cloak doesnt hide anything if youre smart enough to calculate bonus stats shown
i say remove deflect from game

wow..nice update..i was very interested to see how it would play out..i am usually skeptical..but i really like what i see ..the league thing..the random opponent with rating close to yours..the rewards..the new bb system...all sounds very good..time will tell..but i think we may have a winner...great job hoof and company..

Same as always, I assume. Saves your XP, not your gold. Though my "assumption" is that gold hits are relegated to normal PvP since that isn't changed. In other words, those that seek gold in their range may continue to do so. There's only an extra prize if your target "happens" to be holding gold. 

 

I might stick to lowest league to "hopefully" smack those hoarding gold (o0

Not exactly... you could be bountied by the system... but it still seems unclear on what you will lose. 

 

HCS? Can you explain a bit better how the bounty system will change? Seriously, it's not very clear. I'm "assuming" min XP loss still applies, but a lot of us have expressed doubts on what exactly is necessary for a "clear". 

 

A general read of the post, "suggests" that it's a one "50 stam" hit... but I have trouble believing that.

No? Lol. In the league, "perhaps" since we can't defend against being a random target. But as I understand it... BB stays the same. Though I do wonder if they game will advise us when it puts us on the BB... *hint, hint*

A few thoughts about the new update ...

 

1)  I like that PvP League will NOT be Opt-in or Opt-out, because PvP is PART of the game. That needs to be cemented into peoples heads so they don't think that PvP is this buggy man that they can avoid and claim that it took advantage of them.

 

1A) Deflect isn't going to prevent you from being selected for PvP League? that would only apply to regular pvp combat correct? Also, does pvp protection prevent you from being selected in PvP League? If not, will they receive no XP loss when they get initiated on? Or are we scraping PvP protection as well?

 

2)  I like the idea that this system is geared towards EOC because frankly its boring to go up a ton of levels without some sort of additional reward behind it. This will motivate people to donate / really take advantage of the upcoming 2 event and future events.  The game does need some mini-game or additional thing for EOC people to do ... because waiting for content really does suck.

 

3)  As for the BB, that is a radical change to not be able to post your own bounties. So if I keep a low amount of gold on-hand or quickly convert PvP gold into FSP ... am I never going to get bountied? OR If I steal X amount of gold, will I likely get bountied then?  I know you probably don't want to disclose that information yet, but we would like some more information on how the system picks who to bounty.

 

4)  I agree with putting Smasher and Dominance Medal in Legacy. I do think it will irritate some new players that would have liked to earn all medals in the game but will be all medals, minus 2 now. but its whats best for the game.

 

5) I do think composed potions shouldn't be factored into PvP Legacy on the pure fact that not everyone has access to composed potions. Also, PvP Legacy should be based on what you can do PERSONALLY, right?  Although, I suppose you could argue that a guild mate could buff you up as well, so how is that any different from composed pots? ahh ... not sure haha

@Egami, from my understanding BB posts will be 1 hit bounties and all PVP attacks will use 50 stam (no more or less aka standardized). The 50 stam used will be the equivalent of a 100 stam hit currently. 

 

So they removed the ability to soft clear someone of the BB. However, is 1 hit on the BB going to be 5 levels lost? or just the equivalent of 100 stam hit with 2x XP loss? 

 

System determines who gets bountied based on the amount of gold stolen from the target. But this system heavily favors gold hitters and prestige hitters in my opinion. 

 

I do like the fact that bulling will be harder to do. Aka you hit my guild mate, therefore I post you and take 5 endlessly until you back down. That is a very OLD way of thinking in this game and i'm glad they finally put an end to massive deleveling as a way to control the masses

what more does eoc need? you get

new content regularly

you have every option in the game..all titans,gvg,pvp,arena,bh'n, se hunting

so tell me what mini-game you need?
