Are the hefty set bonuses from the 3300+ elite sets the new normal (in an attempt to make elite gear useful)? Or a mere accident?

Not related to the posted topic, but related to the posts near the end.
Skill points need to be useful; buying skills that less than 1% of the players are interested in is not useful.
For EXAMPLE, make some skill use some outlandish number of skill points that notifies you of a chest spawning within 25 levels of your current realm. Make some other useful non-combat skills, like Teleport.

In this latest update we have fixed the following issues:We've also been listening to your feedback and will be adding some new Master Realms to the game later today!
With all due respect, feedback shouldn't be required to get master realms put in. They should be available with content, or if intentionally not with content, a fixed period of time after content is issued (a week or two).

Hoof + Grim = The creators of this game - have said this is a "PvP based player game"
It's also an mmo as well yes of course. If I could I'd strongly advise Hoof that he should have enabled a warning that upon logging in or creating a character - all players are subject to PvP. There is nothing wrong with it again - just as there is nothing wrong with other aspects leveling and what not.
We all want more as i've said - I'd like to see us get more.
By any reasonable definition, it plainly is NOT a PvP based game. How do I know? Because you can be terrible at it, and succeed at anything else you want to do. It is not, in any way, essential to progress in any other aspect. That said, as it stands now, with the abundance of free leveling pots given out at events, PvP is a minor hindrance to those not inclined to participate, unless you go out of your way trolling people to hit you.
But PvP is hilariously unbalanced in favor of the attacker, unless you go to extraordinary lengths to defend yourself, and it gets more unbalanced every time a new relevant buff is created or an old relevant buff has a higher available level. If you want people to care more about PvP who don't already, you need to make it more balanced.
You need new buffs usable for PvP defense. They need to be cheap, effective, long-lasting, and only effective while on the defender. For example, a Nightmare Visage-like buff that doesn't subtract attack to be effective.

i think mzz had it very well rounded, i wouldnt change much else as u reduced the number of hammers to invent, i dont see why u couldnt go a little left of centre and do some nice xp gains on something like this +3 xp gain all the way to +15 xp gain on tier five, its not huge though it adds cool factor :-)
stats on it were VERY generous hoof, this is an uber epic for its level, best epic for over 900 levels tho obviously sta wise it will divit as levels stat getting 500+.
luis said animation, yup even if only some lil monster occassionally peeoking over the top, a lil fire imp maybe :-)
The stats on it are obviously, mostly irrelevant; unless the stats gets ludicrously high to make it useful for arena. Nobody is inventing 32 hammers to use this for leveling.
The xp gain would have to be very large for it to be useful over stam gain.
It would be great if there were a reason for anyone to want to keep the mid tier hammers, otherwise, since Inventor 2 doesn't work, there's functionally no difference between 5 tiers at 2 each, and 1 tier at 32 hammers.

Whatever you do don't give them what they want. Already everybody is complaining that it's too hard for them to do. Oh my God I need 243 hammers to get to tier 5. Everybody wants everything handed to them and handed to them right now.
The way it is right now if it takes them forever to do it. Then it takes them forever to do it. I don't know what the values are on it as far as stam gain as compared to whatever level it is. I got tired of reading all the posts and trying to make sense of it all. When all anybody is doing is complaining
It's ridiculous, because the reward is +3 stam gain. It's still nowhere near worth doing. It needs to be better than the best available titan drop, before it's even worth evaluating the effort (which is a heck of a lot of SE farming at the moment).

Making some items expensive is a good idea, but any epic that requires 243 not trivially acquired items has got to phenomenal, WAY better than any existing epic, and especially WAY better than any existing epic in the same slot.
+8 stam gain would be a good start, but probably not even close to enough.

Agree, but even with no content it's still possible to level and try to surpass the current #1 player. People may forget the levels he obtained were outside of the current content.
Yes, it is an FSP spending contest (either current, or past FSP). The simple fact is, in the past, the battle for top 1 position was more strategic, more dynamic, and required planning, because it largely involved banking completed quests.
I don't begrudge boats his accomplishment, he has 'solved' the Top 1 medal. Today, max stam is a much larger factor than planning. You may say, 'too bad, old man, quit living in the past'. I say sure, but miss the intrigue and gameplay that used to go into the Top 1 medal.

With the uber stats gained from super COA/SH etc the 'usability' of SE weapon items is pretty high, it's not like anyone who knows what they're doing are ever short on damage these days...
They're not unusable, but giving up EW because the weapon has basically, no stats, means it's never optimal. And EW1500, is, by a huge margin the best non-composing, non-epic leveling potion (for damage).

It's not the same as option 1.
My option is basically, "Would you like HCS to release BETTER QUALITY content, more frequently."
Giving the devs license to dramatically decrease quality should never even be thought of!
The correct answer is quality over quantity, EVERY time.
On the other hand, my solution does not compel anyone to work harder as yours does. Which is really the point, for whatever reason, the cows are not releasing enough content. I would wager most people, don't care what the name of random creature for level 3086 is, or what it looks like.
When 150+ people are at EOC, there is a problem. There are multiple solutions, obviously. Put more staff-hours into content, lower the quality of content, so you can make more content; or as often mentioned, develop mechanics for a character reset.

Add in a third option.
Or would you rather HCS not cut corners, ruining the game and release 50 levels of quality content.
I can guarantee the outcome of that poll.
That's the same as option 1.
Or in other words, you could phrase the poll would you rather have 200 levels of normal content every 6 months, or would you rather have 200 levels of normal content and 100/150/200 levels of additional 'uncreative' content?
Clearly, the current content is not enough.
