#868415 here is my feedback

Posted by Zshmaendal on 13 May 2014 - 10:01

That being said, there has been a loud call from the community for smaller groups to be able to complete the group content. Possibly being able to solo it for lesser rewards. This is an idea that we're discussing internally.

I wasn't really a fan of this idea, but until a larger population arrives, it might help. I think the low population is driving most of the complaints.

#857365 Servers

Posted by Zshmaendal on 25 March 2014 - 14:42

Perhaps all new players should start on the US server? The only reason I say this is because I'd hate for an Oceanic player to quit playing, erroneously believing that only 10 people play this game.

#857174 lvl 40 - 45 Quests

Posted by Zshmaendal on 24 March 2014 - 10:37

Yes! Make levelling super quick and easy so we can all rush to 45 and start to complain about no new content! It will be sexy. :D

Ok I am just being an arse, I personally do not mind either way if quests give 25% or 75% of a level.

Ah, you have made the mistake of conflating "more quests" with "easier quests" (edit: or "easier leveling").

I personally don't have a problem if it takes four months to level. I just get tired of running in circles spamming the same moves over and over. I really appreciate when quests send me to new places, make me do new things, or introduce more story.

Betex is an example of what I don't want. There are few quests, and what quests there are frequently send you back to kill the same type of mob again. It seems a bit silly to do a "kill 30 midgies" quest, and then get a "gather 20 midgie wings" quest back to back. It feels kind of ... idk ... bothersome.

Mongo? Being an arse? Nevvver. ;)

#857147 lvl 40 - 45 Quests

Posted by Zshmaendal on 24 March 2014 - 07:00

Please let there be enough lvl 40 - 45 quests for a player to get 70 - 80% of each level while completing them. I remember finishing the Betex quests and being something like 30% to the next level. I'd like to be at least completing a quest while grinding - so there is some story or I feel like I'm doing something.

#856642 Medium Armor and Assassins

Posted by Zshmaendal on 20 March 2014 - 18:12

I really hope that assassin gets buffed a bit. i also hope that something is added to enhance the usefulness of medium armor.

I'll admit that this issue is why my assassin is lvl 8 and my warrior is 31.

#856640 Eldevin Army/Mage Quests

Posted by Zshmaendal on 20 March 2014 - 18:07

The Army and Mage quests need a bit of attention.

I believe that I read somewhere the players were, initially, going to pick one of the two quest lines - and if that's the case it sure seems that way. There are a number of times where these two questlines become cumbersome or difficult to players or decrease the strength of the storyline.

For example

1) Getting into Illaneska: It seems as though people taking different questlines were originally going to get to Illaneska at different levels (one via the main boat, one via the ferry guy just north of Crannoch) - which is cool. However, when doing both quest lines it becomes a bit strange. You can travel to Illaneska one way but not the other. Then you're doing quests to get into Illaneska when you already can get there. Which is weird.

2) Illaneska plague quests: These become strange because the quests are literally exactly the same. While in the warehouse you click on each plague barrel one time through for one quest, and then one time through for the second quest. When talking to NPCs (like the harbormaster who gives the quests) you essentially tell him you did something once and get a reward, and then tell him the same thing again and get another reward.

3) Enziostein: In two times of playing through these quests I've managed to go long enough in the army questline to "break" the wall in his room, but then I have to come back for the mage quest to talk to Enzio - and the wall is back. I remember there being a glitch in beta because of this - I think it's fixed now, but it's still weird to see the wall there, and then return again.

In addition there are a few more instances that I've forgot but were similarly weird. (Edit: I remember that the Yaroda Grove quests were weird, too. You essentially destroy the plagued thing twice - and the room changes when you go in. Bad for cohesion/realism.)

Possible fixes:

1) Make players pick one or the other and double the xp gain of both. This might be the best idea. Add in some melee/ranged/mage rewards in the other line incase players decide to choose one and then switch spec. This would also enhance replayability for new players as they would have a somewhat different experience playing through as mage or as melee/ranged.

2) Remove some of the egregious double quests and add their xp and rewards to the "other" quest (i.e., make just one "visit the plagued warehouse" quest that rewards mage/melee/ranged ring). This destroys some of the roleplay of picking to side with army vs. mage. I'm sure that, since it seems like HCS changed the way the army/mage quests worked during development, that this was the intended way for things to go.

Either way I think they need a bit of TLC. :) Thanks.

#855588 More bars

Posted by Zshmaendal on 15 March 2014 - 13:28

Can we have an option for another action bar please? maybe along the left or right side of the bottom, or up the left side of the screen?

I really need more space. :(

#855575 Ranked PvP Teams

Posted by Zshmaendal on 15 March 2014 - 12:37

I know I might be getting ahead of myself with the low population, but we really need the ability to have ranked, pre-made pvp battles. There might only be 1 or 2 teams now, but it'd grow as new players arrive - and is a very strong selling point for getting players onboard (at least ones that pvp).

#854905 To3

Posted by Zshmaendal on 13 March 2014 - 10:16

Its not impossible to do though, i did it with a team of lvl 34's and one tank . But that one tank needs to be a beast like fable, he always soles the first boss we tend to die alot by the octopus ...... But we did the dungeon without dying much

It's a leveling dungeon now. If HCS wants anyone to do it while leveling they need to make it easier for people that level to do it.

#854400 LOOT WOOT

I really want to see 2v2 and 3v3 gladiator-style combat, and PvP gear - ala WOW.

#854308 Bestiary

Posted by Zshmaendal on 09 March 2014 - 14:09

I'd like to see a bestiary in-game. After killing 1 (5, 10, more?) of an enemy it'll appear in the list. Ideally, the page for each enemy would give its stats (e.g., health, mana, drops). It would also include a cute picture of the 3d model for the enemy.

So yeah, this isn't the most important thing in the world. But adding this sometime would be really cool.

Then make achievements for filling it up.

#852852 Instant cast cancels movement

I don't think instant casts like Redemption or Revitalize should stop movement. :)

#852801 Account level professions

Posted by Zshmaendal on 03 March 2014 - 01:00

This is something I don't agree with. What fun would it be for alts. Purpose of an alt is to role-play a different style. Most here seem to have forgot the fun roleplaying can be in a game. I have an alt for each of the major classes. Mage, Ranger, Templar and Healer. If all I had to do was run around and grind mob's, they would all be level 40 by now.

Maybe I'm a bit weird, but it really bugs me to 'start' something and not finish it. I'm doing all of my professions on my main, and so I don't want to 'waste' time by gathering things on my alt. So whenever I get a quest that asks me to give ten void 'shrooms or something I have to log, get on my main, find room in vault, put in vault, relog, get the item, etc.

That just got me thinking: "Who is EVER going to want to level a profession again?" It just seems more reasonable this way.

Its easy enough to pass things through from one alt to the other, just train professions on one account and if needed you can pass things through

Yeah, I know, but it still bugs me.

#852684 Account level professions

Posted by Zshmaendal on 02 March 2014 - 13:53

I think that professions should be account wide - that is, the same level for all characters (like achievements).

In a game where each character is only allowed to have a set number of professions, that's one thing. But is anyone really going to want to train forestry for the third time while leveling an alt? If you pick a specialty with each character you end up with a bunch of characters who you'll never max out.

I suggest that professions be account wide. Or something similar.

Anyone else agree?

#852358 Double Click Farming

Posted by Zshmaendal on 01 March 2014 - 03:56

Thanks for the input guys. I didn't know about the drag-and-drop one.

I'd also really like to see an option (perhaps a button for farming, like in the crafting professions) where you can "preselect" a type of seed. Then, if you just double click on the plot it'll plant that particular seed. This would make it easier for when you are 'farming' (haha) a particular crop. There could be a second option, further down, "plant specific seed", say, that functions as farming does now.
