While were on the topic of the graphics/contrast- some of the maps are relatively hard to see. I have a lot of trouble seeing the difference between the walls and the floors mostly just for some of the snowy/ice maps as well as some of the brown ones that have a crossed patterns.

I cant remember which ones in specific but some of them are really bad contrast wise. It would be nice if these get fixed one day, Id bet it would be x10 harder on mobile

Edit:

They look a little different in game. Might just be me since I am partially colour blind lol, but it would be nice if there was colour blind support, like a setting to change the walls to black and the floors to white. I can manage to see if I focus hard but for a fully colour blind person those would be unplayable.

Posted by Bluetail on 22 December 2017 - 19:22

Im hoping this change to CD is just for that one new quest Titan and getting kills for the quest does not lead to securing an additional drop solo. This overall seems like a big step in the WRONG direction. It sounds very easy to abuse this change if it does lead to an additional drop. If this is the case your allowing for monopolization of titan drops and the smaller guilds with less experienced titan hunters will get pushed around. Effectively I could double secure a week, yikes...

#988268 Christmas Special Offer - Delivery Update

Posted by Bluetail on 11 December 2017 - 16:12

This is what I was hoping for just, remember to give two weeks notice next year. It prob thew alot of people off since it was so early.

Can you also make sure that you dont add EoC content midway into the event? That was a very dirty move you pulled last time which impacted those EoC that hunted early, not to mentioned the current stam flash sale that came only at the end. This year please add all the content just before DXP starts and have the flash sale on day one or through the whole event if you plan to have one.

#978435 A quick and easy overview of Daily Quests

Posted by Bluetail on 26 March 2017 - 05:27

Cool! I can tell you want to make this guide really good so Ill share some of my knowledge of the game and give a few tips.

In general, the buffs Animal Magnetism, Conserve, Reckoning and Light Foot will help you complete Daily Quests quickly and minimize the stamina cost. The buff "Quest Hunter" will NOT multiply any kills towards daily quests.

Defeat X Players In PvP:

Any player you defeat (bounty board hits do not count!) will add progress to this quest, you can even hit the same person multiple times to make progress. Note that you must be the one to initiate and win the battle and Xp loss must occur. If they have PvP protection no progress will be made! Only players that have logged in within the last 28 days count for this quest.

Warning! Remember that by taking part in this quest, all players you have hit have the option to post a bounty on you (within the next 48 hours), where you can lose up to 5 levels (in the most extreme case) so complete it at your own risk!

Breakdowns:

Bought items from ingame shops can not be broken down for fragments and will not count! For breakdown quests its always best to farm an Elite since they have the highest drop rates in game. Try to find one that has no quest drops and can respawn with AM and in a small area. Remember to use Find Item 1000+ (found in the AH) and Reckoning 175+ as well as Lady Luck 200+ (only available through composing). Remember that the quest is for items broken down, not fragments from items broken down. So if fragments are not a concern to you, find an Elite that you can easily kill.

The Nightshade Lord is a good example of this and is available from level 28 onwards.

Beware that out of all daily quests, breakdowns pay the least back in return for stamina used- you may not always get more stamina back compared to whats required to complete it. By using the buffs FI, LL, Reckoning, AM, CON and LF, you can estimate the stam needed to finish your break down quest by dividing the required number by 0.4 . This assumes you use ONLY the above buffs, hunt an elite with no quest drops, one hit and use max level distilled composing potions- showed the math in another thread if I can find Ill post it again.

Kill X Creatures of Y Class:

Your best option here would be to consult the UFSG which is the official FallenSword Guide run by HCS. You can find it by following the link here (http://guide.fallens...p?cmd=creatures). It has an option to search by creature class which makes these quests a breeze to find a creatures of a class that you can actually defeat. You can also search by type to find easy maps to find Champions or Elites as well.

If your lucky enough to get a "Kill X Normal Creature" then that means youre free to kill any creature that isnt a Titan, SE, Champion, LE or Elite and it will count- easy!

Kill X Legendary:

Permanent LE spawns are all quest locked to get to but chances are you may have already completed the needed quests to get there (for some atleast). Here are the only permanent LE spawns in game from low level to high level (LE frags from drops also indicated).

Leghra Lair [Min Level 40]: Leghra Deathspinner Queen (Legendary): None
Minotaur Lair [Min Level 80]: Minotaur of the Lost (Legendary): None
Paladir Forest (Plagued) [Min Level 20]: Zachorzi the Plagued (Legendary): (1)
Ofron Islands (Caves) [Min Level 271]: Ursa the Great Bear (Legendary): (2)
Mount Volmar (Circle) [Min Level 1000]: Seal of Fire (Legendary): (4)

Kill X SE:
Killing any SE you can (except scavenging caves) will count toward this quest (kills with groups also count!). Always check the SE Kill Log in game before you start your hunt since it gives you an idea of what Maps have been cleared of SE. Below are Maps in game that can have up to 2 SE spawn at once, which are great for saving stam and finishing this DQ quickly. Note Fushiyoma is Quest Locked.

Inferno Mountains (South): Double Spawn- Yokai + Triclops
Brale (North): Double Spawn- Steep + Cursed Samurai
Sanctum of Khel (North/South/East/West): Double Spawn- Fushiyoma (North and West)

Reduce a Titan's Hp by X:
Sort of ambiguous, but it requires you to kill that many Titans to complete the quest. Titan Doubler will not increase your progress for this DQ (but you may still want to use it if you plan to secure the Titan anyway).

No real additional advice here, besides find one you can kill, use Light Foot, Conserve and Teleport to make things easier (AM is not needed since it doesnt respawn Titans). Valarath Eggs and Flasks of Death are good potions to use while Titan Hunting if youre lacking in the damage department. Counter Attack is also an option. Avert Gaze and Demoralize and also handy for high level Titans (some low aswell) that have annoying enhancements like Hypnotize, First Strike, and Reinforced Armour to name a few.

If youre worried about people competing against you and crowding the Map for kills, the Elemental Titans (part of the elemental quest series) are a safe alternative. You will not get any epics from killing them aside from the one you get at the end of their respective quests (which you can only get once).

Easy Inventing:
You can invent absolutely anything in game and it will count. Additional buffs like Inventor 1 and 2 along with Extractor 1 and 2 can prove to be quite helpful. Here are some easy options (check spoilers for additional notes).

Potion of Black Death: Estimated Cost, 8000 Gold Ea:
Farm or Buy Jademares (Hellhound/Strikosaurus)

Spoiler

Bite Serum: Estimated Cost, 500 Gold Ea:
Farm or Buy Elya Snake Head (Desert Snake)

Spoiler

Deathspinner Amulets: Estimated Cost, Free
Farm or Buy Spiderling Remains (Leghra Spiderling)

Spoiler

Other Free Options:

EDIT: If I ever get more time, Ill try to add some more hyperlinks to the UFSG. It might be helpful if you add a link to this post in the original post. Just had this info laying around to quickly help newbies, so I thought Id spruce it up into a post to help with your guide!

#978250 New "Item Type" icons

Posted by Bluetail on 23 March 2017 - 02:23

The art looks great! Shield doesnt really look like a shield to me to be completely honest, rune is a tad confusing as well, kinda looks like a few quest items in game rather than the in game runes. Component art was always confusing to me, I would have made it like a gear or something like that. If you could, putting some kind of "blueprint" design on the Recipe icon would help people differentiate it from Quest Item better. Im also assuming you plan to keep them in the same order though and not change the icon order to be alphabetical? I think the current order makes much more sense personally.

It would also be really beneficial if you could somehow further sort composing potions by buffs, kinda like how you can in the AH. As in, I could select "Keen Edge" and only potions that include Keen Edge will become visible. Consider that some guilds have hundreds of composing potions in their guild store spanning many pages. Right now the potions are really only sorted temporally, as in what was recalled first to last. This makes organization somewhat hard, especially since many different players may put potions in there. This addition would make finding the right potion much easier and quicker, as Im only assuming its gonna be harder to find them when it goes on the mobile platform. Just a suggestion to make the GS interface better!

#973377 Christmas Spirit HCS should help give back

Ive seen the light...

On a side note, there is alot more to this game than levels, its best you get out of that mindset. This game has a plethora of content for you to play through, compete in and master. The early levels in this game are much faster than the higher ones, not to mention how effortless it is to now one hit. Little be known, but there was a time when we didnt have super potions, composing, epic quests and all these new buffs to bolster Xp rates. If you want to level faster, I suggest you look around and take advantage of these instead of asking for a handout. Its ironic that you ask for a fast lane, when you havent even taken the time to reach level 100, most folks get there in less than a week these days.

#973274 PVP Seasons as a Global

Posted by Bluetail on 08 December 2016 - 19:40

Tbh, this entire thread does not make much sense anyways, 'PvP as a Global'. Its pretty clear that the vast majority of players are not interested in PvP or want nothing to do with it. So why do people feel the need to turn it into a Global Event? If most people opt out and buy protection, then what good does it make? The whole point of a Global Event is that the majority of the community participate, its in the name- I really see no merit here. If you turn it into an event how many will participate, probably just the few that are currently playing the ladder and a few more- so why implement something new for the same people to do the same thing? You already have a venue to PvP, so use it! The only way PvP as a Global would ever work is if PvP got a massive overhaul, but that would destroy one of the most ancient aspects of the game that has been around since the beginning.

This thread really just started as an easy way for EoC players to get their hands on Crystal chests with no Xp loss. If you want those chests, then opt in the ladder and win them. If you could win those chests with no Xp loss, then the ladder which is already dying loses its appeal. I really dont know why this thread was revived in the first place. HCS should be spending their time to develop new ideas instead of trying to bring back failed old ones.

#973203 PVP Seasons as a Global

Posted by Bluetail on 07 December 2016 - 07:58

The running around and chasing part really doesnt add anything beneficial to the whole PvP concept. You imply that it will make it less comparable to "Shooting Fish In a Barrel" but if your gear and buffs are still inadequate then it makes very little difference once your are caught racing around. Even if you think this will add a benefit to PvP I dont see how it will, its just another hoop needed to jump through just to get to the core of the aspect we are competing in 'PvP'. Especially the part of the whole one target "You must hunt" thing is really ridiculous, they can be literally anywhere and just added potentially thousands of stamina and hours of time just to find them. If you want to make a competition for PvP on a global scale than all aspects of that competition should be relevant to what the contest is about which is PvP.

This same system has been tried and dried by HCS in their other game Sigmastorm. Its a complete bust, I remember taking part in a 'Slaughter' or whatever its called and there was literally nobody there. Do you understand how unlikely it is that the very few people willing to take part, will be online at the same time as me and willing to chase? Plus that doesnt even address the issue of 'fair play' when I come against someone 1000 levels below me that I can pretty much sweep no problem or someone 2000 levels above me that can easily sweep me. Its fine to throw out ideas but you need to at least adress the issues that the old system had if youre gonna appoint a new one. Compared to the last global your idea uses tons of stamina, places you against people you cant fight fairly, easily allows collusion, and would be overall unappealing to the general mass of players. These are all issues that PvP seasons had, so your system doesnt improve on it. Not to mention how easily your system can be exploited, what if I do a bunch of hits on day one and then never show up on the map again? Nobody will be able to hit me and I still get to keep my points and Xp. Its just as synonymous with an opt out so a big no from me.

#972961 Help Promote PvP and make Fallen Sword GREAT AGAIN !

Posted by Bluetail on 04 December 2016 - 13:27

I agree that ranges need to be expanded. I find it hilarious that on the ladder we are expected to play competitively with a 500 level gap but can only hit players outside that are within 10 levels. If you are placed with players 500 levels above you and its implied that PvP is 'fair', where is the logic that PvP outside of the ladder beyond 10 levels isnt fair? Of course you can argue that those players are opting in with the intent to PvP, but that surely does not correlate to an entire X50 level difference between the two attack types. You cant say one is justified while the other isnt, either bring one up or the other down.

We have a lot more at our disposal as players to defend ourselves from PvP attacks than we did 10 years ago. We have all the new pots and composing, Deflect 192, Bastion, Honor, Shame, Erosion, Smite, Fumble, the list goes on. Not to mention PvP protection which removes you from the scene entirely, so if you dont want to participate you have lots of options.

Especially now that HCS keeps pushing the levels higher and higher the remaining player base is being spread out between more levels than ever before. When EoC was level 500, you could effectively hit 2% of all levels in the game, which was a sizeable portion of the player base. Today we have over 3100 levels and can only hit 0.3% of levels, this pales in comparison even more when you consider how many empty pockets of ranges there are since there isnt an even spread of players through levels.

#972296 Tiered Inferno Hammers!

Posted by Bluetail on 21 November 2016 - 20:34

Inventor 2 works on all the steps to make the hammer, just not the combining for better tiers. It will not nearly take 96 baron drops.

The item is far from P2W, there are loads of more valuable items that give even more stamina gain already in game. The extra +3 stamina for some and the +1 stamina most of us will get, will hardly make a difference, especially when you factor in how much stamina you can buy for that price at double Xp.

If it crushed in PvP or Arena, you could argue that, but it doesnt come close. This is more of a Luxury item than anything game breaking. I do like the improvement, but it feels weird that it is a level 200 item. I was expecting a level re balance for each tier, but I guess this way even more reason for everyone to want a T5...

#972211 An error occurred...

Posted by Bluetail on 21 November 2016 - 02:15

Huge lag spike! Not sure why, dont think it has anything to do with players logging in- only about 300-330. Could be wrong on that but the game is too laggy for me to want to check right now. Got the same message, and when I do get through its taking literally minutes to get to another page. Dont know if its Cloudflade since I think its a different message when its on them. Feel sorry for anyone trying to play the game right now...

#972132 Tiered Inferno Hammers!

Posted by Bluetail on 19 November 2016 - 03:57

Im completely against messing with the spawning times of the Baron. We dont need to change more of the game to make a pilot update work. Lowering the spawn rate would only make the Hammer less valuable, which defeats the whole purpose of this update anyways.

I think if this Tiered system is gonna be implemented again in the future, the number of tiers needs to be reduced. I think after Tier 3 this becomes overboard for a lot for the titans that get hunted in the realms on a daily basis. If you look at a really old Epic like 'Cyclonus Boots' theres only about 120 in backpacks, and around 300 equipped. Out of those 300 people who are already interested with the current version, you can see that theres still only enough hanging around for 20 (or 4 for a 5 Tier system) people to upgrade right away. We definitely are not at the stage where we need that much epics removed from the game, even a two tier system would be plenty. Five tiers is overkill!

Plus I cant really say it feels like much of an upgrade if it has mostly the same stats, some better or even new enhancements would be great.
