    On the other hand, it takes time to sneek into all our accounts and leave a gift  without being seen!

I've already got eight of those ruby boxes, and now you're making me store four more?  The things I have to do to get a medal... 

      I came across the game in a Craigslist ad (with the link included)  The game description sounded intriguing, and not being a fool, I didn't clink on the link, but went to the game directly.

     I remember thinking, "This sucks!"  I couldn't kill anything, I was even having trouble with rats, when a total stranger sent me an enchanted pick ax.  Best.  Weapon. Ever.      And from there on I was hooked.

     Looking back I wish I had used that link, and at the very least made a note of who sent me the pick ax.  The first person certainly deserves a ton of FSP for recruiting me, and the second my continued thanks for keeping me in the game. 

     Oh, and that second person defined how I play the game.  Newbies ALWAYS get buffs, and I have given away tons of pick axes and other gear.  Just paying it forward.

At the risk of sounding, well, like a grumpy old coot, it seems to solve a problem that doesn't exist.  I DID sign in and check it out.  All it appeared to be was a glorified version of chat.

People knew the Steamwork was coming months in advance and farmed it out. Plenty of Tier 5s are out within a couple of hours. It's not necessarily bad, just feels more exciting to not expect something

    I sort of have to agree here. 

          I'm not saying that promoting the Steamwork was bad, just that it took a lot of anticipation out of it, plus made it "easy" to invent.

     Maybe:  The  (Insert fantastically  inspired name here) is under development in Barn #4 and will soon be released.  This is going to be another tired epic, but with a cost to be borne in the use, as it will be cursed by the Shadow Lord!  (Might as well blame him, he gets blamed for almost everything else),

   I'm also a big fan of just not buying your way into making an epic.  Maybe have it constructed by non-tradeable items?

   Anyway, just a thought.
