I returned just recently, after having been gone for over a year and a half.

Why I left...... There were changes made to pvp, so the bounty board dried up almost completely, and since bounty hunting was the one thing I enjoyed doing in the game, I lost interest.

I could have stayed and levelled instead, but I had had quite enough of that. I sat at end of content for months before I started bountyhunting july 26th 2010, and once I started, I was hooked. I've never been at end of content again ever since... hehehe

On february 17th 2011, I did 86 bounties in one day and got my crystal medal for it. There were about 6 pages of bounties a lot of the time back then. Soon after that, the board dried up and I was lucky if there were 2-3 bounties up (not even a page).

I know how levellers feel about pvpers, I was cofounder of FFS for a long time till I decided to go inactive and left. I used to be a leveller, and I was number one in my month till 9 months after I completely stopped levelling. It's really not as bad to get hit though, if you think about it. It takes a couple of creature kills in a hunt to regain the xp you lose in a pvp attack.

I have many many friends in the game, and I came back because I missed them. I stay because I am able to jump back and forth between the guilds some of them are in, and it just makes it all that much more fun for me. I'm mostly in Warrior Kings and Order of the Dark Plague thanxx to Baoh, Budro and Ryebred accepting that (thanxx guys!! <3 ), but I also go visit FFS whenever I feel like it, (thanxx Urck! <3 ), and I was invited to visit The Evil Dead as well, so I was there for a few days too (thanxx RageAnger!! <3 ). It's exciting to spend time with old friends in those guilds, and since they also have members I didn't know before, I've made a lot of new friends as well.

Another thing that really made me decide to stay this time, eventhough I was pretty clueless again of buffs and gear was all the help some of my sweet friends gave and still give me, in regards to those very things.

I saw somewhere, not sure it was in this thread, that some people think guides kill the game. I disagree. Having info available sure helps. It doesn't mean you should just stick to the guides, and I doubt anyone does, but it does help.

I am ranting...

Guess what I am trying to say, is that it'd be nice with more bounties ;) and a possibility to chat in groups, not just in IMs, with people in other guilds. Maybe an "allied guilds chat" function? Oh, and guides, lots of info for the new, and for the newly returned.. thanxx HCS and all of you players that create and maintain those guides <3

I love playing FS, just wish I had unlimited stamina.. lol ;) <3

I’m still in game because of friends and pvp still interests me. Ive watched a lot of changes in game, some ive liked some not so much the activity in game should be of concern to everyone. Seems to me a way to get people back into the game would simply be email them. Every acct as far as I’m aware is attached to an email which is saved to each character. All the cows would have to do is email a message about all the changes to pvp, buffs, end of content, as well as incentives if they did return. It seems feasible and even if only a small percentage came back that would still be an improvement.

The people and community are what make this game great. I've participated in almost every aspect of the game in my time playing. I've made many great friends and quite frankly if they weren't around I wouldn't be either. I agree with budro above me. Sending an email to players to inform them of changes made and incentives to come back would be a great way to start. I know many who have simply quit playing out of frustration after updates to pvp, gvg,bh'n,titans, etc. and alot of the issues have been addressed now. Are they perfect but they're better than they were.

Edit*-while you're sending emails out you should look into previously terminated accounts. Some accounts were terminated for minor offenses and others major. want a return in players? look into bringing back some of the minor offenders. I've seen quite a few terminated players return lately so I don't see how this could be an issue

The ability to succeed is one of the things that keeps me coming back.. You are given every possible opportunity to succeed in this game from the very beginning.. Granted you have to do some work of your own (which is what it is all about anyway), BUT that also leads to more people reaching EOC which is a problem in one sense but in another it isn't.. You sometimes lose great players due to not enough content but it's the ones that really step it up and start playing different areas of the game that are the ones that are valuable because they will normally be one of the ones that a new player looks to first because they are so high up there.. I think it is awesome to be asked a question or two by someone who actually wants to learn the game and I really like that I can give them a little information about most aspects of the game because I have dabbled in just about them all.. I'm sure it would not be cool asking an EOC player for some tips about PvP and them say "IDK all I can do is levelz"

The BIGGESTthing that keeps me coming back is the community itself though.. I love each of the people in my allies list for many different things and all of them have given me unending support and friendship.. They have all been the ones that has made this game as special as what it is.. I have done plenty of accomplishments that I feel are worthy of mention but none of them add up to the amount of support I have received from this particular set of people.. I pray that they never quit because they are probably the main reason that I am still here.. The game is about 15% actual play and 85% socialization if you actually play the game.. Another honorable mention is my Guild.. FFS has the MOST supportive set of guild members around and I am glad and honored that I am a part of this amazing guild

I'm sure that each player that regularly plays this game has something that can be similarly said about their own group of Allies and friends.. Only problem that this leads to is this can't be the ONLY reason we keep coming back.. I ask of the Cows to please release content when you SAY you are going to release it.. If you say that you are releasing new skills next week then we EXPECT that next week, not 3 months later.. Just keep us updated, its not that hard to throw out a news report about something coming up and the release will be delayed.. Another thing you can do is ADVERTISE some more to bring in more new players.. I know you might not have a huge budget like other companies but advertising is what makes a game grow.. The FINAL thing that I ask of the Cows is to not let the Eldevin launch be the end of this game.. Please don't forget about us here that have been loyal for so long

The game had/ has so much to offer, so many different aspects to game play. The friendships I have formed and developed are Golden. I continue to play as I am not to my goal yet, to be the Best player in the game. I learn new things as they change in game style and new things are added to the game. I may never become the greatest player, but i will be one of the last few who do play it.
