World Boss Revamp

The current World Boss loot is outdated, so why not update it.

 

Firstly instead of the chest with maximum 10 drops in it (depending on group size), why not change it to be like the event world bosses (wolf, dragon, PK) where everyone that participates gets a chest for the kill.

 

Secondly, get rid of the glims! Change the loot table to be something like 50% chance at defined gem. 20% chance at item. 10% chance at absolute gem. 10% chance at infernal flake. 5% chance at greater flake.

 

For the remaining 5% of the loot table add in a vanity set for each Boss, but vary the percentage for each piece dropping. So 2% feet, 1.5% legs, 1% arms, 0.4% body, 0.1% helm. These of course are bound on equip so they can be traded, and the rarer ones would provide a nice valued item to the economy for people to try to get.

 

Lastly, to go with those new vanity sets, add in achievements to equip the full sets so that people will have more incentive to go for them.

Fabulous idea!!! WB is outdated now, even by ASV which had its loot table upgraded. Give the WB some TLC!!!

you do get a chest from the weekly mission but itll be cool if you actually get the chest outside the mission. the vanity bit, good way of selling stuff and get rich in game

Yeah, I think the weekly quests should be left alone, they are fine, and the rewards are fine. This was more about the general WB loot from the actual kill.

Good ideas there ernz. Personally I haven't bothered with wb for months for precisely the loot reason.

PK had bad loot compared to that, and yet half the game's population did nothing other than PK for 3 weeks. So if this would be the reward for afk auto-attacking, what would be stopping everyone  from server hopping to do WB from dusk till dawn.

 

Personally I think it would be a lot better if your loot ideas would be added to the quest reward bags and those quests would be available twice a week or 3 times a week or even daily if that's what people wish. As for the drops, simply changing the glims to defined to keep up with the gem inflation that devalued glims would be good enough, any more than that would be leading to a PK situation imo.

I don't even go for the world boss because i am still low level, but having it where everyone that attacks it gets a chest sounds like a great idea, because of the vanity set / other possible items that would get people trading... the percentages might need tweaked some.. (i have no idea) but i like the overall idea.. and it doesn't seem like it would be to hard to throw it into an update? ( again i have no idea ) :)

The difference being that World Boss areas are level restricted, and for the most part (I know there are some exceptions) high level players wont afk/troll and if they do will normally find themselves without an invite in the future.

 

The idea is to get people farming World Bosses, they largely go untouched throughout the week. Doing 10 man WB runs (at the moment (10 man as that is the best way to maximise loot) is great fun, but no one wants to do it. There is also a 1hour spawn time on them so they wont be killed too much. Will be similar to running CC bosses.

 

Even with these additions, running ICC will yield better return on time.

agre with world boss not many kill them mostly do to loot chance not worth the time and effort - minal 10 people get max loot, curent loot chance not worth effort.

with add cahnce on new vanite - Other Unic rare mounts - Emotes - more be willing fourm groups hunt these boss 3 severs 3 boss of each typ = 15 boss per hr can potionaly killed.

 

This stand alone loot aside from weekly quest loot some thing for hunting these boss, make worth peopel killing them, Most time boss very loney at there homes, Like Other suggestion thibnk you posted ernzor worl boss go on ramge aroudn Eldevin hunt them down for Epic loot.  Some thing like this add new Loot chance with.

 

shade Green Dragon on ramge around Northham farm Find him Quick, Help Eldevin city - Helping kill shade gain rep with eldevin city. Alonge with chance on unic new rewards make worth time and effor hunt down shade, Other boss with there own rewards and rep gain - Give new way get rep for those who don't wont to do daily Rep Quest to even wear vanite gear.

How do it be if it are more than 1 tank on it? 1 tank can hardly made big dammage. lets say 1 main tank and 1 backup tank or a tank that wana be a dps on the WB? or if it are tot 4 tanks on the run ........

Only, suggestion not sure how functional it would be - considering world boss ment to be 10 runs - Function useage as i suggeted above should work.

 

10 man - 1 Tank - 2 healers - 8 DPS - cover all boss no issue even if farming 1 -2 boss Difler - Shade both farly easy with 10 man group or less. Max loot = 10

 

So instead of 10 loot max with group - change loot to limited factor's no more chest spawn all Do minial % - healing - dmg taken - granted loot. Main Change for this - Of couse forcse more groups run for better chance on loot.

 

Genral Idea come across limited people get some thing for nothing how most thing moreless set up as. do work should be reward for doing so.

 

Of course limits 5% dmg - Dmg taken - healing done - Limited usage in 15 - 20 man raid run how most satureday runs go - with these limitation only for loot should not effect Normal Weekly quest reward help kill boss - Only effects Extra loot chance.

 

most time get no loot from chest any ways so no real lose start with, for those to start making groups for runs thought out week for extra loot chance possible better rewards.
