a child falls down, scraps their knee, starts crying

a cookie might help cheer them up some, forget about the boo boo

while a biscuit would be no help

* a scone is a biscuit 'trying' to be a cookie

hmm that explains it but what if the kid had icecream fell scraps their knee and has all sand over his/her icecream? and then starts crying would the cookie still help or does it turn useless just like the biscuit because then i still don't see the difference

A scone isn't a biscuit... Your logic is flawed :(

This is a biscuit:

your real argument that the UK Government had to get involved with is this:

Biscuit or cake? :P

i'm not seeing anything else alongside this to give it any scale - if you can hold it in your hand looks like a cookie

Stupid people thinking they know what a biscuit is...

You NEVER EVER eat a biscuit with gravy.

Biscuits are for dunking in cups of tea.

Sometimes a biscuit can also be called a cookie, (if you're an American) Those big ugly things from the OP are not biscuits, they're not even scones. They weird... THINGS. Definitely not biscuits... We called dibs on the definition of biscuits, stupid Noah Webster trying to re-write dictionaries!

It's Aluminium all over again...
