It should have ended 10 minutes ago, but kills count is still going on.
Ive seen at least one player buying stam to stay in top100 and he was kicked out well past the time limit.
If there is a countdown the event should end in that exact moment

target could have been reached cows didnt give enough of a reward to be in top 100 i personally beenin top 100 without the rewards and spent 100 fsp for stam and made it at last moment then fell off . think they will extend it. and i will be stuck without top 100 . hey i tried did you

I have to say I agree with dowuones. Yes we were 105K away from crystal when the timer ran out. that sucks, but it is what it is. It should just end as advertised, no confusion, no mess.
If BG wants to be nice and run the event until we hit crystal then end it, fair enough, but the top 100 should be frozen at the end of the alotted time, it really isn't fair for people to think they are in the top 100 when the clock hits zero, think they are secure and medal attained, and then the event keeps running and someone knocks them out of the top 100. It isn't going to effect many players, but the ones it does will be HIGHLY irritated. Is that worth it?
Who knows? Maybe it is a glitch. And how sad is it that even in being potentially nice, all the cows do is get complained at. However, that would not happen in this case if they just ended the event when it was supposed to. The memory of just missing out on hitting a tier achievement would hopefully motivate more of us next time to make sure that does not happen.
14 million for an event that got 6 million last time shows us and the cows how low the bar was set before, even for this supposedly low value reward global.

I agree with you Belaric I really do. However there were some technical problems faced by many FS players yesterday. Game not loading, screen freeze, bad gateway errors. We had a couple of players hunting Skaldir when the problems were most prevelant. Maybe it was because of this that the problems surfaced. Conspiracy? 
Anyways, HCS may have extended the event due to these problems.
HCS should however, in my opinion, have blocked the top 100 Contributers Ladder once the extension in time started. They could have also put an announcement in the homepage and personal logs stating the event was extended but entry into the top 100 expired with the original deadline.

So I was asleep. How did we end up? I ended with 3k something. What's the deal on the monsters still being around and the expiration time? Do they kills still count? I heard about people being bumped off the top 100 and that they'd look into giving them their share.

Well technically I was right when I voted gold tier, we only reached crystal because of the end-time fubar.
