  So your idea is to keep sending and recalling until something sticks?  I have a better idea to make it really meaningful.  You can send them whatever tradeable potions you want and hope they activate but the ones that don't are destroyed.  Otherwise, it's just a matter of continually sending them the same potions repeatedly until you get the result you want - no risk and all reward.

 

It did cross my mind, however if there is a high chance of losing a potion I don't see people using the buff outside of high profile GvGs. The drawback that would exist in my iteration is that outside of tagged potions it can be costly - if I want to guarantee the activation of a buff from a donation pot I will need to open 4-5 of them and I will be stuck with them unable to switch to a different pot option from the container.

After discussing potential changes for PvP ladder with BigGrim on the HCS discord, I was inspired by how strongly BG feels about offline players being unable defend themselves.

 

 

Name Reception

 

Skill 0.1% per point chance of activating a potion sent to the player

 

Context Players who are offline are limited to the buffs others can cast on them which are always going to be limited to 175 + Buff enchancer bonus. With this buff, allies and guild members can choose to send a potion to the player to help them defend on the ladder, bounty board and in guild vs guild conflicts. 

 

 

At level 203 this will mean a 1 in 5 chance of a potion being activated, so if this buff was live, people will send 4-5 Zombie Brews to someone followed by 4-5 pride followed by whatever tradeable potions they will to send. Obviously with guild tagged potions people can keep trying over and over using the recall function without having to wait for the player to come online and return the excess potions.

 

This buff does have potential for abuse however we are allowed to block buffs from being casted on ourselves so this will either be blocked or be paired with the guild and allies "blocking level" to prevent others from sending unwanted potions but allowing trades from guild members.

Having a go at me tho doesn't alter the facts that :-

 

1. Motivation for adding +8 epics is profit driven for the guilds, nothing more, nothing less

 

Did you even read my post, or are emotions at play again?
 
It's not "nothing more, nothing less" most players will be happy even if the +8 epics were bound like the Lesser Perchtas epics. People want stamina to essentially "play every day," and since they are playing a game, they wish to progress their character/guild for their time and effort; otherwise, where is the fun ?

I'm fully behind the cows limiting epics to +7 - there are quite a few reasons being trotted out (primarily by ... oh wait ... the titan hunting guilds) but the bottom line is they would like a new revenue stream that +7 doesn't offer as much any longer ...

 
You know, if you looked past your resentment of titan hunters, you'd realize the FSP titan hunters make when a new epic is released have to come from somewhere. As far as I know, HCS only allocates FSP into people's accounts based on positive financial transactions, so any reasonable person, including you if your emotions were not clouding your judgement, would recognize that +8 epics would increase profits for HCS and additional stamina to play with would promote activity because people aren't waiting for stamina as much.
 
Rough math: a +8 Epic at least in the first year would sell for 800-1000 FSP each, and we have about 200 players at EOC, and each player has 9 item slots. Some people might already have FSP, but that also means they would have a reason to refill FSP, but you are looking at 1,400,000 to 1,800,000 FSP that would be purchased by players? Even on the low end, that's potentially $200,000 USD, calculated at $60:400 FSP.

I would like to propose Relic Defender be changed to reduce the relic penalty instead ? That would keep the buff accurate to its name and the buff isn't dependent on another buff i.e. in your iteration Relic Defender does nothing if the other person doesn't use Reign of terror.

 

Context: There is a relic penalty for holding more than 1 relic in the game, as there maybe 200 active guilds left in the game - most guilds hold 2-4 relics. Changing this to reduce the penalty will give more incentive for guilds to try and defend relics instead of swapping back and forth.

 

Relic Defender: 0.05% per point reduction in relic penalty. ( Lead defender only) ( Relic Comat only)

 

 

Do you think increasing the duration of this skill could add extra value to its usage? 30 minutes doesn't really cover much, especially when it's up in the air whether a Relic is going to be attacked or not.

 

If you are going to keep buff as is do you think you can have it use the same duration as nightmare visage? Both are buffs intended for long term offline protection.

 

As for Galvanize, we wanted to try something a bit more experimental. A buff that could work in conjunction with another when it activates. However, we do see how fiddly this could be and how Healer itself has, in its current availability, little chance to activate. Now, I would like to clarify how Galvanize actually works:

Galvanize, when activated, increases the combats max Hit Points using the player's base HP attribute. It will not, in its current form, be further boosted by the likes of Fortitude and Severe Condition

 

I would be interested if the ratios on this are high, I believe if you survey the players maybe 1 in 100 have any substantial points allocated to base HP.

I don't know what % of players would want HCS to spend time on questing content but hopefully there are meaningful or substantial rewards that are hard to ignore like the epic quests or the Christmas quests at level 3000 for leveling pots.

it is NOT tied to a Global Event. That's fine for LEs/SEs, especially with the Max 3 cap in place. 

 

Happy to hear I can part take in new content and not be excluded from competing.

If you haven't committed to an idea for the Titan competition, please make it about killing titans.

 

This could truly be a competition instead of measuring how much stamina players can burn via auto refresh. There are limited number of titans that spawn every hour, the players at the top of the list will be the ones who were active throughout the event instead of rushing their kills on the last day. 

 

The there may be flaws, someone will always have an advantage but I would rather see this and improved iterations than the same old Global Event.

Definetly do change the stats from +10 stat > 2% stat. 10 stats does not make a difference at any level.
 

 

2% of each stat is not worth 50,000 stamina hours.

 

If there are concerns about 10% being too strong, I would rather have it changed so guilds can only get 1 of the stat boosting achievement.

Completely missed the mark with the rewards, anyone who plays the game would know +10 of a stat is meaning less.
 
Base stamina gain + upgrades + epic quest rewards + guild structures = 97 Stamina per hour
 
If we ignore buffs, as every player has access to varying levels of buffs, you are asking for over 10,000 hours worth of stamina to kill a creature 1,000,000 times. For any solo or small guild, there are 8760 hours in a year.
 
To put things in perspective, I am 100 levels above the end of levelling content, so it costs me roughly 20k stamina to level with the highest buffs in the game. Even at that high of a stamina cost per level, I will be able to level up 25 times to get 50 Level Up points, which I can equally distribute to +10 on each stat sooner than spending 1,000,000 stamina on any one of these. I am an outlier, most people only need 1000 stamina roughly to level with normal buffs. How do you think this reward measures up to the stamina investment ?

Not what is happening in this suggestion. Just stopping Guild Hopping from happening in the same way other Guild activities have a 7 day start up wait for new members.

However in Titan hunting you are still allowed to hunt "personal" titans.

How would this work, are you not allowed to GvG at all ? are you a target for guilds to attack while you cannot attack back?

 

I can see guilds having their members leave every 6 days to keep them un-targetable during GvGs which ruins the competitive integrity of a guild vs guild.

2- Prevent any recruitment during a GVG (use your members to defend yourself)

 

Disagree with preventing new members from GvGing - It sounds like you don't want all of your members to defend themselves.

A new guild member can only attack the targets in your guild who "should be be prepared" for GvGs.

 

Instead of restricting gameplay for players, you should focus on improving your GvG strategy and planning skills :)

We have just updated the game to v3.8.3.
 
This update adds the following changes:
- Relentless, Guild Berserker, Avenger, Aegis Shield and Allied Frenzy durations have been increased by 30 minutes.
- Healer duration has been increased by 1 hour.
- Fixed an issue with the Gambler skill activation chance.
- New buff icons now display correctly on world map page

That's really odd. Only Stalwart is "Raged" for me. But Conix has confirmed he sees the same as you. So why is it displaying differently for different players... And yeah, same for us. Displaying correctly on Profile but no the map.

 

It's not browser based, nor is it Tampermonkey/FSHelper. Changing theme didn't alter the results for Conix either. This is really weird.

Would you consider changing Avenger to increase armor instead of damage and stack up to 20?
 
 
This would help make armor a viable option in PVP combat where the meta is to use defense 90% of the time.
 
Currently, if someone does have enough armor to cover the opponent's damage it's not "safe" because there is a 20% chance a piercing strike will occur reducing armor by 50%. So essentially versus an armor defender, the player will eventually land a hit with a piercing strike and do more than 1 damage. If Avenger was to boost armor, players can still get lucky but that luck needs to be within the first 5-10 hits instead of piercing strike to eventually happen at any point in the combat.

You forgot to mention it's easier and quicker to chat/communicate with guild members in guild chat, which would make abusing arena much faster than communicating and coordinating with people via emails/personal messages in game/discord.

 

You are clearly making assumptions about things you don't use, please do your research.

The ability to communicate with people on discord is 100x better and faster than the text dump called "guild chat".

100% agree with EpicPiety,

 

If I may be blunt, you guys don't play FallenSword to understand what the players want, and nor do you survey/focus group your ideas. The world map is not the "center" of Fallensword. So much of the game is just waiting for stamina, even the new players get 2k-3k stamina from doing the early quests which means waiting for 24 hrs before you "hunt", there is so much to the game but you have nested it all under unlabeled icons. If you want to improve retention, show players there is more to do in the game than just waiting for stamina.

Making epics viable in areas such as PvP and Arenas will also increase demand for invented Epics which require Guild RP.
While it doesn't substitute reworking GvG Conflicts, it will certainly increase activity and contribute to the economy in Fallensword affording you more time to work on or postpone a GvG rework.

I think many people have thought about fixing issues caused by epics to PvP with solutions such as dedicated epic slots or gemstone system or something else where your stats aren't tied to stam gain items but all of them were major projects.
 
 
Updating the formula for allocating stats on Epics to be similar to the lower levels such as 5 stats per level of the item would bring positive effect for everyone in the game in my opinion
