What a lazy and unbalancing "update". Not at all what I expected. It invalidates everything the players were used to in one swipe. It's a huge FU to the players, new and old. Collection was never a big problem for me. I can already collect 1-2 grades above the mats I can *use* for skills , and that imbalance is mostly from just doing the dailies available. At worst, you can get collection quest mats from other players.
I am actually in favor of lowering the levels needed to *produce*, or increase the XP for producing.
So now, Crafting points, and therefore XP, from Fishing and Skinning is virtually non-existent. I haven't even bothered to check Foraging. Multiplying by 1.5 doesn't help when everything gives 1/10th the XP in the first place, or is impossible to use. Tuna used to give me about 130 per catch, now I get 10. Instead of getting Rump to cook from fighting outside the gates, we now have to make multiple trips to Northam Farm, killing Pigs that give no XP. For *THREE or FIVE* levels? When I kill level 16 creatures now, I get only level 40 materials which are unusable.
Might as well drop the crafting component from the game. And I say that as a person who joined because of the crafting.
