First I want to point out a flaw I discovered today in market when buying buff pack.

One of the buffs in the pack were also a blocked skill via my preferences -  blocked skills should not go through even on a purchase from market IMO.

I think a sensible upgrade to buff market would be allowing player to select "target destination" of buffs purchased.

Often mates ask for buffs in chat or through pm, and if I find a bargain in the market I value price of greater then that of my stam - I believe it would be a nice option to be able to buy that pack for a player.

In GvG's this would be very useful tool when buffing offline players

I really see this as win / win for everyone - promotes sales, and is a convenience

For this to work properly, and be free from abuse the noted deficiency listed first will need fixing.

Thanks for feedback, and looking this idea over ~ Rye

Sounds good, for sure blocked buffs should not be added though

you and i have discussed this several times and I've always agreed. This should be implemented.

also agree that blocked buffs shouldnt be able to be cast as always(in current market they are cast OVER the blocked skill preferences)

Agreed.  This was discussed quite a bit when the Buff Market was implemented; however, I don't believe there was ever a response from HCS on the subject, so this thread may be helpful to get the problem highlighted.

This is still an issue over a year and half later.

Not a bad idea for sure.

I'm confused a little, why would you buy a skill that you have blocked?

I don't block any skills, I get all the buffs I buy because I pay for them.

If I have a potion that is higher than a buff I apply it in its time, but I still get all the buffs I bought.

Maybe I'm wrong to think like that, but my dime, my time.

I do however like the idea of being able to send buffs to someone else.

Hmm, yes. I like the idea of buying and then sending buffs to others too.

So with that said, HCS would need to fix the buffs being cast when blocked 'bug'.

HCS shouldn't idiot proof the game which is what people are asking for with the, "Duh I have that skill blocked, why did it get cast when I bought it!"

But, we can't be expected to know what buffs our friends have blocked.

So for that reason alone I think I will change my vote.

You probably wouldn't buy one specific buff that you have blocked. However, let's say you have shield strike blocked but you purchase a buff package with 10 buffs that includes shield strike. You get buffed with it even though you have it blocked.

While that was one issue, I really think that adding the ability to buy buff packages for guildmates, friends, ect would be very helpful for several different aspects of the game.

Many have asked for this here in the past as well but thanks for bringing it back up.

There are many cases where a player may want to buy buffs for another player, especially when trying to help a new player.  This addition would be a huge help provided it can not be used to buff players with a skill they have blocked.  There are some obvious chances for abuse if a player can buff their target with unwanted buffs prior to a PvP attack.

I don't block any skills

The point is that someone could mess up your hunt by casting the wrong buff on you. For example, if someone activated CA175 while you were hunting, and you didn't notice, then you could end up with only 70% (=100/143.75) of the experience you expected from the hunt. That is why you can choose to block some buffs from being cast on you.

And as Doom (and Wolf) said, that is why it is especially important that the buff market respects those blocked-buff preferences if it is made to allow you to buy buffs for another target.

Bump up because that's a very good idea.

Also, please HCS, show Buff enhancer into buff market, even better, show the final level the buff will be casted on you, yesterday I bought a lvl145 SSI expecting to get a SSI 170, but the seller was not part of any guild, so I really just got SSI 145.

showing the final level of the buff would fix both issues.

You should also be able to search for certain players. Maybe you can... and I just can't figure it out

There are icons at the bottom of would-be casters name after the buff package.

The icons are:

furycaster - Red square

extend - Green square

sustain - Blue square

Mage Tower - Pink/Green square

***  Put cursor over the square tells what level.  ***

So, in the future look for the squares. Generally 3 squares are ok, obviously 4 is better.

I know, but I did it on a rush during the xp event with potions running out...But showing the buff final level is way more efficient.

I love public polls to see who votes against the proposal and why, if it isn't simply out of spite. This is a coding issue only Hoof can address when and if he wants. Good luck convincing him!

When I buy buffs in the market, I get a pm about it. I always check those notices so I know who is doing what to me and if it's what I ordered. lol

A PvP  for gold or an attempt to get prestige gives me the opportunity to vent privately. IE; griping out loud to myself, sometimes in guild chat. lol Maybe I might say something but that becomes more rare with  the passing of time.

An unwanted buff would be dropped asap.

Aiming to include some improvements to the Buff Market in the next update. This will include adding a notification in the log when no buffs are left in one of the active packages and also adding a symbol to show that Buff Enhancer is activated on the buff seller.

Will also look at how blocked buffs are handled too - maybe there could be an option when you buy the pack?
