The command post becomes available to build once you have a level 3 HQ and a level 1 Medical bay. Once you build it your hero will become available.


The hero is a really useful unit which you gain experience for. As they level up you can spend skill points on some very useful abilities :D The hero is also great for sending on marches as they can hold a lot of resources, and are quite strong for combat too!


We'll take note of things people find confusing and see what we can do to make them clearer.

Just a reminder that we don't allow 'calling out' or personal attacks on the forum. It's unnecessary; if you have a problem with a player or an exploit or something please put in a support ticket.


Some ask why we don't allow it. These threads always descend into arguing, players get ostracised unfairly and it gives a terrible impression of the community.


Please in future use the support system.

I would be wary to jump to the conclusion that it was a problem with your ISP too btw. Data travels around the internet in a very complex web(who knew?) of connections and machines.


Try a traceroute from the problematic location to huntedcow.com and you will get a picture of how data travels from you to us. It could make a whole bunch of jumps, some of which will be beyond the jurisdiction of your service provider.

This in an unfortunate artefact of us completely changing the camera system post release. The ideal would have been to have the blocking geometry fade out when the camera was enabled to go anywhere, but we didn't build the world initially with that in mind. If we did have chunks fade out, lots of horrible holes and things would be visible underneath.


Perhaps an ignore-camera-blocking option would be a good solution at the moment. Something we can mention to Cowboy soon :)

You can call them what you like. Correcting other players for using our terminology on our forum is unnecessary though, now that we are aware of your opinion.

Eldevin doesn't have raid groups, so for us to name an encounter a raid would not seem right. For Eldevin the distinction is simply between bosses within instances, and bosses in the world.


Had we raid groups, we probably would structure these things differently. For now we have just kept the terminology straightforward.

This was something we initially wanted to do, but the system wasn't set up to handle it. I think the issue was that you'd have one weapon vanity slot which could take any weapon vanity, so the logic of when-or-if item visuals and animations would be overridden was a bit complex.


Excuses aside, it would give us another level of customisation and event items :D

Hi everyone,


We've had some requests for our map images to be made available for use in the Eldevin Wiki and fan websites etc. We've put together this .rar file containing all the map images, hopefully some of you will find it useful :D




There is also the pretty map of the world already on the wiki which is really handy for navigating.

Yeah the chat being inactive while dead is rubbish. It's something the system guys have wanted to change for a while, perhaps they will get a chance to look at it once the Steam build has been submitted.

I do hope we have time to get onto something decent for Halloween, we just need to get things sorted for the Steam launch first.


Halloween is more fun than Christmas, I wish it was as big a holiday here as it is in the US :D

It's a convenience for people who don't want to trade with other players, people do buy gold despite what some people think. Perhaps once the auction house is in there will be a player facilitated easy trade of ep for gold, and the shop option will be unnecessary and unused.


Note the original posters point is that he thinks it devalues gold, surely that is devalued more by the players ep/gold rate. In fact the player rate is the one grounded in reality as they are putting a value on their time to aquire the gold. Therefore it's not devaluing, merely finding an average value over time.
