#903238 Development Update 19th November 2014

Posted by BadPenny on 21 November 2014 - 17:49

Its when people in guilds demand that 5 levels be taken for a 10 stamina prestige hit, that is when pvp gets ridiculous and its bad reputation and I have witnessed this and heard of it being asked for on many an occasion. Furthermore it is a minority or do this who sully the name of the pvper community as a whole, yet the try to proclaim their innocence, the hypocrisy is stifling...

Exactly... I make my prestige run and I respect all that do.  Prestige is a much underused buff, primarily because of this issue.

It always fires like this.  A/D or deflect, Reckoning, Sealed, Spell Breaker, (any other buffs) Constitution, Sanctuary, Spell Leech

I don't even know why I'm wasting my breath here. I don't care about top 10, never have, never will.  I was doomed from the start.  See, I was designed early for PvP I have 150 lup in attack, which gives me a slight hunting handicap, so I don't always 1 hit.  No biggie, they make a buff for that too.  My point is that I'm not atypical.  Since I've been back, my prestige clientele has been pretty much the same, so I am moving at a good pace.  But my peers at EOC, they spent a lot of time, and had to have spent the big bucks to get there, with the exception of a select few that took the game economy by storm.  You have to spend dots somewhere to get enough stam to get you there.   This is WORK!  I commend them for their diligence.  I also cherish them as friends, and they will tell you I didn't get where I am today with handouts, I worked (or stole) for it.  I have close friendships because of who I am, not my level, or, as you so delicately put it,  because I'm a hot chick that plays video games.  Everybody knows I'm an old retired lady.....

Justinian, most Pvper's I know respect the tag back.   We only delevel when both a tag back occurs AND a bounty is placed.  That's called double dipping, and is unacceptable in our world... Just choose on or the other, and things will be just fine ;)

#902922 Revenge Attack Option For Returned Attacks

Posted by BadPenny on 20 November 2014 - 22:34

The revenge attack will be and either/or thing.... so will be unbountyable, if I understand correctly.... Basically, it's what I have tried to get people to do for years.  Just hit me back.  Of course, I only bounty extreme offenders.  Like folks that smash me on the BB that have no dog in the hunt... that's another kettle of fish, though.

I still like this Padawan.  PvP should be an EXCHANGE and some just don't have the means or inclination to post a bounty.  This gives them recourse without risk of apprisal.

Only AD and Deflect activate before the battle begins.  The rest  activate in their own order after the battle begins, usually sealed, then SB, then SL.

Sorry, Dav... I EARNED my tokens, and I'm not wasting my time and money to make something nobody wants to buy.  Why should I be penalized because others coasted along?

#902411 Mercenaries - In DIRE need of additions

Posted by BadPenny on 19 November 2014 - 23:47

Actually, I just recently attained 500 after an absence of almost 2 years.  Yes, I have made my choices and taken the scenic route, but I play the whole game (well, not the caves) and I also listen to what my friends have to say.  Including you.... That said, I'm not speaking just for myself, I rarely do, as what is best for Erildath is usually what is best for me. You can't tell me that bigger and better mercs would be a bad thing, I won't believe it, nor will the majority of the community.   I may never see EOC, (not that I care, as levels do not make the player, nor do they indicate a player's overall prowess in the game) but I do have enough knowledge of the game to know when something is needed, and this is one of those things.

I started playing a new game yesterday, and I was very impressed with its tutorial.  It was very detailed and introduced game mechanics as well as social aspects of the game step by step.  I went through our tutorial recently and found it lacking.  If it's not too much trouble, do you think our tutorial could be improved to cover more details? If a dev would like to see the game in order to view their tutorial, you know where to find me, won't mention it publicly, of course.

It is not meant in that Fashion Penny, People at level 5 can encounter skull carver can they kill it of course not ask your self at what point do we stop adding to make things possible...or does it provide the incentive to level up and gain new gear to enable players to kill them ?

I DO level up... but when the average player is 1000+ and the average merc is lvl 300, there is some severe disparity here.  I don't want an easy button, I just want a fair shake.  We need the merc system revamped... It's not an unreasonable request at all.

All I know is that they are for the most part useless for killing a high level SE for me, which is what I would use them for anyway... Modern buffs make it so I can solo just about anything else if I dress the part.  Please, Hoofie, Rad, BG, all of ya'll, this is something way too long neglected.  At least add it to the roadmap...

#901804 Development Roadmap (Updated 8th September 2014)

Posted by BadPenny on 18 November 2014 - 12:23

i think a compromise that greatly benefits the PvP aspect of the game and satisfies everyone of FS to some level would be an excellent update to make priority. adding items and resources to be won and then used to invent what will be the best two piece sets for their level range not only by stats but by their enhancements in the whole game would be an excellent start. adding epic potions to be won would help, too. and like the release of titans, perhaps the sounding of the horns for timed tournaments to gain these items, resources and potions. timed tournaments when players will have to be online and buffed up in their best gear, switching as needed maybe, before each round begins to help focus PvPers on other PvPers. also we could add a greater percentage and duration to certain skills like Gloat and Honor, a duration matching Nightmare Visage, to provide greater protection for players that are not into losing xp or gold.

This is being worked on.... Radneto says so, last entry here: https://forums.hunte...m-pvp/?hl=blood

#901643 Update v2.52

Posted by BadPenny on 17 November 2014 - 18:13

Seriously, Naga, be happy with what we have... I don't want anybody knowing I haven't killed more than a handful of titans.  Since it's a guild related activity, it's a moot point.  If you want us to know how obsessed you are with these beasts, you are free to keep your own tally and post it prominently in your bio...  Like we bounty hunters do for our bounty count... WHICH WE NEVER COMPLAIN ABOUT NOT HAVING A TALLY OF....
