See here's the iffy thing, I might be hounded for saying this but frankly it confuses me.

 

We are players on HCS Site - Except I'm the only one that can moderate the Legacy Forum. Tickets - We've been through.

 

Legacy we aren't players, we don't actively play and we can't. We're set as Voluntary Helpers and the Description is Players with staff power. But we aren't players.... o.O 

 

To me it is just HCS distancing themselves from us but apart from that we work together to the best of our ability

Its not always fun to be a mod that cant play the games you are in charge of but as someone whos seen the other side of it be glad the head cow decided to go this way because,,,

 

Ive seen games fail because the player/mods got the help of being able to create any gear they wanted but also was using it against other players who didnt.

 

While thankfully this issue doesnt apply to FS or any other HCS game ive seen there are places where you buy donator or supporter packs that give you time as a special player or things nondonators cant have,,,player/mods get those free and it causes and has caused games to crash when paying players get upset over it.

 

With you being a mod in one game and a player in another you get to have work time and play time,, cant tell you how many times ive seen a mod/player complain they are on their time and replying to messages about mod stuff. This doesnt even touch the issues they get with noobs asking for free stuff, hit for them, help with gold or etc a mod/player always gets!

 

So yea HCS made a smart move when they dont play the games they run (other than testors they always need those!)

Odd thing is I don't really play any HCS Game or any other, Most of my time IRL Is spent with Uni or social outings, Online I spend a huge chunk researching things, replying to emails and Legacy... Legacy takes a huge chunk of my week because I spend ages putting effort in it that some could say is overlooked or ignored...

 

I think the only reason we are still in ranks is because I did the majority of the work before HCS and lead a team and nothing much has changed apart from most of our powers being stripped thus can't help as much as we can but we at least try to :/

 

I dunno, I see a small future for us but in all honesty it would not surprise me if Hoofmaster took the decision to remove us so they have 100% control over Legacy. Whilst I think that would be the most stupidest decision and I'm pretty sure there would be an e-riot over it I somehow come to expect it in the future - suppose my faith is slowly dropping =p
