#897720 Making friend list and alt characters more manageable
Posted by Mongo on 03 November 2014 - 20:59
It is really tedious sometimes, having to add all your friends alts over and over each time they make a new character. Also seeing 16 people online when it is only one (and 15 alts) seems silly, not to mention how confusing it can be when your friend has 16 characters... who can remember all those? I can just about remember my own!
I think the whole thing needs an overhaul to become more user friendly.
Some suggestions:
- Make it a requirement for us to ACCEPT a friend request, before others can add us to their friends list. This is important in the next suggestions for privacy from strangers.
- Once a friend is added, it will AUTO add all current and future characters they create.
- The friends list and server screen should include the CHARACTER and MAIN. e.g. "Mongo(Flash)"
- There is no need to list all of my characters on the server select screen, just the one I am logged with. In the format suggested above "Mongo(Flash)" or if I am logged on my main , just "Mongo"
- Also I think it would be really great, if someone could just whisper "Mongo" and I would then receive that message, no matter if I am logged on Mongo, Flash or any other character.
So basically we are taking our main character name (account) and incorporating that to include every alternate character.
Also not sure if you fixed it yet as I have not ignored anyone, but if we add a player to ignore it should include all their present and future characters.
If anyone has more suggestions please post, also please post if you think this idea sucks. Thanks.
Actually thinking about it think the other way round would be better, so Main(alt). Here is a quick mock up I done of what our friend list would now look like (hope you don't mind me using you as example Razzy)
So Raziel Is logged on his alt Kainn and has accepted my friend request, I now see this:

RE: Dungeon levels every 10. Minor problem.
Level 30 is a rare moment when crafting gear is useful. Skip the early sets, and then craft one at 30.
Solution. Remove the level 30 set, and add crafted sets at levels 15, 25, and 35. Then I'd give the idea several likes. Players can choose to level with dungeon or crafted sets (or no sets, of course).
Or with all sets every 5 levels
I like that idea too actually. Gives a bit more meaning to crafting. Would like it if Dungeon gear was ALL obtainable within dungeons/relics. And the crafted sets had nothing to do with the dungeons at all.

#898580 Bring back group PvP!
Posted by Mongo on 07 November 2014 - 01:16
I know it was removed for a reason as I was with the many that called for it, but could we get Group queuing back? It would need to be separate from solo queueing. Would it be easy to add, or take lots of work?
At the moment, most matches are decided by what the luck of draw groups us as, due to imbalance in classes. I know there will never be perfect balance, that is impossible in most games so why not let us balance our own teams for some pvp fun? I am sure the community would swap around players too, just to get some variation and fair fights going on.
The solo queue system would still be used, maybe even more so for those learning the ropes as they will not be up against the long term pvp players all the time.
Example (for those who know these players kinda build)
Team A:
Zook
Dasan
Slip
Flash
Team B:
Lahara
ernz
Reine
Doja
The above example would at least be fun and both teams could certainly have a good chance of coming away with a win.
(note I put Reine with Lahara, or she would beat me up)

#895180 [STEAM] related suggestion.
Posted by xpwaste on 18 October 2014 - 08:50
Do not launch just now, there are many things that are yet to be implemented to able to make eldevin a time spending worthy game.
Though you might launch now, i am afraid that withing few weeks, or just a single month the steam community with discard the game as "un-finshed, un-balanced, no end game.".
Suggestions:
- For PVE
1. Guilds
2. Auction House
3. Class balance
4. End game
5. Open world grind-able content
6. End game progression content with variety.
that for pve.
- As for PVP.
1. Need progression for pvp.[ i.e. something you can gain by spending so many hours on it and not just vanity.]
2. Need more CC and counter-CC
3. Need more challenging/interesting class playstyles.
- In general
1. Even though i hate p2w models, im fine with it as your providing everything to anyone who hasn't spent a dime. This may bite you in the a$$ so i suggest you take a look again at your cash shop. Specially at the gold chest, that for some would the ONLY reason not even bothering with playing the game.
2. Need more vanities, yes more awsome, dark, secret, beautiful, shiny, show off, reputation grinded, world boss kills, end game raids[or dungeons in this case], and random open world content vanities
3. Re-model your mounts. This is not a child based MMO and the story quest has no reference to anyone with a flying cape, or a helicopter cycle.
4.Make things more fun, it might be tough to achieve but to able to retain players you need to make your content fun and challenging.
5. Replability. MMOs are not usually one time buy ,finish story quest and move onto other games.
you need to add replay ability so that the players are kept engaged even after they complete/clear the end game content.
The points marked in RED, are imo more important and should be at top of priority than others.
Good luck in your en devours devs.

ok first time i've noticed this but didn't we have 8 slots for potions on potion bar. i just went to slot some items in there and only had the basic 4. lol i think with all the food and drafts/elixiers we have 8 would be good to have. i asked someone and they said it was just in beta we had 8, but would really like to see 8 come back again. if so can you think about a 3rd talents bar as well as i know a lot want a 3rd bar. thanks for listening.

I never bothered about the durability of my armour and weapons. When I died and resurected I'd just repair. Tanks and the heavy mob put it off until the last minute and then use a repair kit because their repair expenses are so high.
That is until I got the new Fabled Longbow! This tool must have the worst durability of any in Eldevin. You don't even need to die but only kill mobs for an hour and the thing is nearly bust. A few times I've been ported to a dungeon only to have the stuff in need of repair popup appear on my screen. So what about a durability widget up there in the top left corner where you check your status before you go into battle.
The green part would show the percentage of the lowest item, yellow the gap to the best item and red the percent damaged.
After a repair it would look like this (all green and comforting
After a long stint in Rumbles Grotto (or probably the normal situation for the heavy mob)
You could see at a glance that if there wasn't any green showing something has broken and you could avoid situations like this.
Healer: Hey tank has something broken?
Tank: Oh yeh some of my armour is snafu, hang on let me change my shorts
Healer: Oh Sh*t, everyone RUN!!!!
