[Foulplay]

I noticed the stash has the option to deposit your gold which is very cool. That wasn't there in beta.

But why the seperation between vault and stash? Why not just one big window?

 

Any ideas?

The stash is for the character that you are playing on, while the vault is shared among all of your characters.

and the vault with the cash deposit was there in the last phase of beta

but have spent most of my time just foraging, fishing, cooking, farming, tree chopping, making potions, tailoring, fishing the fountain, and helping folks out in the guardhouse

sorry for my terribly noobish question, been playing for only 2 days, is there a vault? where can I find it?

 

btw I already died 2 times, there is 1 more death until I lose the "new player protection", what happens next? is there a guide I can read to learn all of this?

Once you reach I believe a certain level and complete a quest you will unlock access to the bank. Then you can use the bank by right-clicking the banker and open the vault/stash.

If you lose 'New Player Protection', don't worry you won't lose stuff / gold etc.. But it will damage you armor pretty badly and it'll be a hefty cost. So try to be careful out there and seek for help via server chat if you're ever in doubt in staying alive.

Vault / Stash is at the bank in Eldevin city there is a quest you must do... If you die a third time.. Next time being 4th you will get a Deaths door curse for 1 hour.. I reduces your HP and Mana.. Also you get a 10% damage to your Items durability... Both can be fixed rather easy... As for a guide...  This has a lot of good Info... http://www.eldevinsociety.com/

FYI.  You can also access your stash in the basement of the barracks or upstairs in the sanctum.  However, the vault can only be accessed from the bank.

The interesting thing about the Vault (unlike the per-character Stash) is you don't need to complete any quest to access it, and it can be accessed at any level.  This is probably because it is shared among all your characters, and you need it to pass low-level gear to new characters that you may be holding on to.

 

You are not allowed in the northeastern city gate until after you complete the murky depths questline, but the other gates can be used at any time, if you know how to get to them.

 

Of course, this information is really only useful on your second or third character, when you are no longer a noob.

The only purpose of the gold depositing in the vault is so you can transfer it between your alts. Sadly you don't earn any interest off the deposited gold. 

 

n00b info: You will get to use the bank after you have completed the quest "Banking and Stashing". It is a level 5 quest and you can pick it up from Murphy, the guy in the Eldevin City Bank.
