This is going to be a simple and brief topic. I plan to start the courses soon and would love to know who is interested. I am willing to work with 3 people at a time. If enough people are interested I will select an alternate. More information about the topic coming soon. First I need to select or at least see who is interested. 

 

We will be using Adobe Photoshop CS2. If you are selected please have the program installed.

* I encourage people to be somewhat computer literate meaning you need to be able to locate files in your PC. *

I can possibly take more alternates. However, you must be very familiar with your program of use. I might not be able to provide as much 1 on 1 attention that I will be given to my three primary students  but you should learn things from subjects and assignments alone. 

 

Please acknowledge that is a basic course to improve your quality and composition. Your creativity and exposure to ideas will determine your awe factor. Remember practice makes perfect. 

 

Also, I do hope your native language is english (if not, please follow at your own risk and have the understanding that I do not speak another language)

I am willing to participate! But how are you going to be teaching? Via Skype? PM's? Chat? I don't think you have clarified yet. Also, I have CS6, is it reccomended to download CS2, or will I be able to follow along with what I have?

we will be using CS2... Everything you do in CS2 you will be able to do in CS6. They are almost identical. We will be using this forum here to do the teachings. I will make youtube video's and tutorials. Its hard to explain but you will see soon enoguh

A part of me would want to sign up, but I know for a start I have no idea how to use PS, you would be having to start from complete scratch with me, that I'm afraid the others on the course would get frustrated with me. I have no idea what the tools are called, even in GIMP I have no real clue. I just mess about with things. Perhaps when i understand a bit more I would be able to learn from you though. I think this is a brilliant idea, and I applaud you for doing it.

Haha, no worries. However, I would suggest using CS2 over gimp. It is an amazing program not too different from CS6. Familiarizing yourself with the tools aren't too bad. I suppose memorizing them can be somewhat hard but pays off in the long run. I think it opens you up more artistically. But you are more than welcome to follow along if you would like I am going to make videos so you will be able to see almost exactly what to do. This would help you familiarize yourself with the tools a little better.

Since you are doing this through YouTube videos, you need to make sure they are private. Wouldn't want any stragglers watching them and keeping all the things they make.

I have to say I have no resources here, aside from CS6 version installed, so I would be starting from zero again. Also I can install the CS2 with no problem

Just letting you know, I am going to have to stick with CS6. I'm used to the UI anyways. CS2 isn't supported on Windows 8. :/

Wesley, I think your skill is very developed I would rather take in people with less experience. However, I would imagine you would need less 1 on 1 time. So I think I could put you in. If your really interested I can go ahead and add you

I saw other two people trying to join too, so if I joining means other artist losing the spot I'd not feel good. I'm willing to give the spot to beanopoly if he's willing to commit to learn the max he can from this course (Beastboy knows alot already )

Thanks Wesleysdf for the recommendation! I would love to pick up some addition techniques from Chargryn!  I would take a class from you too if you were offering one.
