I just started yesterday. I got Snow Leopard pelt after 2 or 3 kills and turned it in. But now, I have spent an hour so killing 15-20 Snow Leopards without a drop. Is this normal? Because it isn't a fun introduction imo.

Also. If you haven't already tampered with your preferences you should be okay. Providing you have room in your backpack to collect items.

wiki.fallensword.com/index.php/hunting_setup_list

This link above, has a list of basic hunting Buffs. Not including Find Item buff.

1. Make sure your backpack isn't full.
2. Make sure your preferences aren't set to dispose of anything on drop
3. Make sure you're not accidentally hitting the "X" when they drop
4. *If you're still having issues getting a drop, head to the buff market, and get the buff "Find Item." If you can't afford the cheapest one; ask a fellow player (the community is very helpful and welcoming to new players). Specifically in Global Chat below your map.

Items do have drops rates and you could just be getting un-lucky. Step 4 will help with that, if that is the case but, you shouldn't be experiencing drop issues for starter quests. Just make sure you have room in your backpack, and none of your preferences have been tampered with. They will drop.

Also, not mentioned here, if an item is a quest requirement, you need to add quest finder to the buff mix.  Check the classification of items  (see the Ultimate Fallen Sword Guide, resources > reference > items) as well, because if it's classified as a resource, you will also need resource finder to boost your chances of that specific drop.

View Chat Rules:

"Beg other players for Fallen Sword Points, buffs, items or anything else"

The rest of the suggestions in V's post are good.

Grant it... HCS never hired anybody to patrol the chat. I stopped trying to help peeps not getting banned when players started non-stop insulting me.

Willing to help on that again... for a salary of course.

Things like chat moderation are usually volunteer positions.  is an excellent example with it's pMod system.. I don't know why HCS hasn't just made an application to do it. I'm sure many would be willing.

We had chat mods.  They were disbanded and now we have only BG.

The problem with pMods is obvious, favoritism comes into play, and this ends badly, unfortunately.

It's difficult to be objective when you volunteer for a game that you yourself play.  Few can handle the responsibility effectively.
