I recently upgraded my supreme gem to radiant on one of my knives, but instead of getting more dps, to break the 1600 dps barrier, i lost about 25 dps,

 

before the gem upgrade i maxed at 1588/89 right now i'm at 1566, when fully geared, so i lost dps and now have less dps before the gem was upgraded.

What gem type was this? (ruby etc?)

It was for sure a emerald as he is a ranger and is mentioning a knife

The gem is a radiant emerald that has caused the bug on my dps, it's on my fabled knife

Using 6 range/level build

With full BT/RG gear, full level 45 heroic jewelry set

Using +30 range food, 10% attack pot, 15% range pot, 10% warrior buff

Getting talents in 15% marksman, 9% dual wield mastery

Wearing full ranger fabled gear, with 2x radiant emerald on knives, and 1x radiant ruby on bow

 

(661 ranged stat + 30 range food) x 1.15 = 794 range

794 x 16 from stats + 523 x 2 from radiant emeralds = 13750 base attack power

13750 x 1.44 (44% total bonus attack power from pot/buff/marksman/dual wield) = 19800 attack power

19800 / 18.35 = 1079 range dps from attack power

460 x 1.09 from radiant ruby = 501.4 (dps from bow)

1079 + 501.4 = 1580.4 total dps

 

You should have around 1580.4 dps     (1575.4 dps when the food bug applies)

 

Tell me if I missed something in my calculations =/

I've been looking at this and when I upgrade a supreme to a radiant I certainly see an increase on my DPS. Could you be missing a buff or something that cause your DPS to appear lower?

Could also be the food bug as alt mentioned. try that out...
