I have been thinking on this for a while
EXP= "knowledge" gain while "experiencing something"...or however you
want to explain it

so why do we even lose experience at all
"Experience comes with age" but does it go with losing a fight

I believe you should gain experience no mater what no matter how little

at least drop the already drastic amount lost when you do lose a fight

Just a thought i had to get out

i agree with the xp loss for losing...
there has to be something bad that happens

if ur thinking in terms of it being realistic, imagine being killed... i dont think ud be quite as good a fighter after that

i got an answer you not going to like :)

we lose experience instead of dying in the game and then the game is over :)

its a punishment/penalty for losing in pvp or to a monster

in some roleplaying games its described as this you get reserected but you have a hard time recalling the most recent events of your life (temporary amnesia ect.) basically you need to relearn/recall the last skills you have learned

its always funny to me when things in games get compared to real life

people readily accept that their characters fly, slay dragons, dethrone kings yet a concept of getting their butt whooped does not acur to them :)

tavern you are alright but its late and you need sleep :)

i have no clue but if you want a real life concept

we are all running around in full batle gear with swords .....

what do you think would happen in real life if youd lose??

and on top of that if you have a heat stroke or colapse from exaustion or get hit on the head hard you'll still have trouble recoverig and will need time to regain your full health

ever seen ppl jumping around joyfully after car accidents?

here is how i see this if there is no penalty for death it means no risk, no risk means no fun

you already cant die , you already cant lose , no one can stop you from playing if there is no penalty for death and no risk to lose something the game becomes a boring accumilation of progresively better gear
