Suggestion for personal and guild deposits

I didn't know where to go for suggestions, so I went here.

Anyways, I was just making a deposit and I had a good amount of gold on me. I'm using bad wifi and to refresh a page takes a little bit. Having 8 deposits and a lot of gold, it took a good few minutes to make all the deposits.

I suggest a bar, where you can use all your depos at once. Sort of like the slide bar for the amount of gold you'd like to deposit, you could slide the bar for how many depos you'd like to do at once. 

This would save time, and make players who aren't PvPers and just want to deposit their hunt's earnings, they won't be hit so quickly necessarily.

All ideas can be grown upon, but I feel this one can be really useful, especially for players that have higher amount of max depos.

I don't have the fastest I-Net but I see no use for this idea. As each deposit is 25% of gold on hand.... Tell me just how long it will take to calculate the deposits.............

 

I don't see a downside to this - other than watching PvP's howl 'cos available gold is being deposited more quickly.

 

And, come on, calculating up to 10 x 25% of a figure is childs play - a computer could do that in an instant ..

Point is it needs to be programmed into the game not up to the player...

 

So yes I see a Issues with it....

The 25% is already calculated into the game ... all that would need adding is the recurring calculation....

I can't see much difficulty with this idea, but I think you'd have to have an extremely slow connection for it to be of much use.

This could be useful for some players I believe. And I agree with Pardoux,  I don't really see a down side to it.

A similar boon to composers on slow connections would be to have a "Collect and Create" option when a potion is done, as well as a "Select and Create" option next to the templates.

 

Oops, got off topic there! I support this option. Maybe we could just get a dropdown box next to the Deposit button to select how many deposits to use. It would default to 1. The game would then consecutively perform that number of deposits and would assume you want to make the maximum deposit each time.

 

For clarity, let's say you have 4,000,000 gold on hand and select 3 for number of deposits. Then you get:

1st deposit: 1,000,000 (gold left: 3,000,000)

2nd deposit: 750,000 (gold left: 2,250,000)

3rd deposit: 562,500 (gold left: 1,687,500)

Total deposit: 2,312,500 (with only one page refresh!)

I just wonder why people worries about the programming since it concerns to HCS. They have the skill enough to do it.

BTW, I liked the idea.

Rowbeth laid out the coding formula for how much gold to be deposited simply enough though for the cows to code for them. Thus its just a matted of testing the slider and coding it properly to do so. Given we can be relatively precise with that, I don't forsee any noteworthy issue when it's making 14 settings to lock in place for the slider (0-13). But then again, .php is a pain in the neck to code. :/

 

Likewise though I agree on the concept. Only shaves off a 20 second window, maybe a minute or two absolute max in worst case scenario fo making 13 deposits. Though to be blunt if that's something a pvper would ever complain about, they really need to get back to keeping tabs on their in range targets to hit for gold more devotedly like people used to do.
