Hello everyone,


A new update (1.0.7) will be coming out in the coming days (pending approval from each app store).

This update brings potential fixes to iOS and Android crashes. Please let us know if you are still facing issues launching the app or any crashes during playthrough.


@KitiaraLi, I tried reproducing the issue you mentioned with input fields, but they worked correctly for me. Please note some numeric fields will cap the value to the limit available, according to the area, for example if you only have 500 gold available in your bank, the field will only allow a maximum of 500 to be input. The same will apply on areas where 2 numeric fields work together, for example the level filter in the auction house, if you input a max of 999, the minimum level input field won't allow for that value to go over it.

Of course, there could be a case where this breaks :P. But please let us know if you feel like this is still broken in version 1.0.7 and if possible give us a screenshot with some steps to cause the issue.

Regarding numeric fields looking gray, that was not the best choice of color to represent a selected field, so I have changed it to remain the same color as a standard field, this should avoid confusion.

Regarding notifications, we're hoping the latest fix on 1.0.7 fixes the issue, so if you can, please try uninstalling and reinstalling (a notifications permission might pop up for you upon first app launch).

Could you please confirm if item images missing is still an issue in the app? This is not something we've seen before.

Regarding the Quick combat setting/delay, this is something we can certainly review and improve based on feedback. We will address this in a later version.

Regarding "Out of sync" error and relogging when using the same account in multiple devices, or after having the app idle for some time. For now, this will continue, but we are looking into less intrusive ways of restoring sessions in the app. You can expect a fix for this issue in future updates and a much smoother re-sync.

Regarding logging back in the app and seeing a new character, we are aware of this issue, and we are still investigating possible solutions for it. We apologize for any inconvenience caused, please do let us know if it continues happening. One important thing to note is that, uninstalling the app will cause it to lose reference to your account, so keeping the account linked (through at least one of the linking methods, will make it safer for you). Please note, we are also looking into improving account linking and logging with it for future versions.

I hope this addresses all the pending questions, if not please just ask again as we'll be checking this post for further feedback on the app.

Just a suggestion... new players constantly ask in global how to change their names... Most of us that are ineligible for the 1 time name change have no way of knowing this information, particularly on the app...  It would be a good idea if new players are led directly to this name change and linking their accounts to at the least an email,  so that further confusion down the line is lessened...  (this should also apply to new players that sign up via the browser, but at least the veterans know where to send new players for these functions)

Honestly, from a business point of view, there should be current stamina sale for the full length of the both DXP events, and a max stamina sale one week before it...That would be nice.

Have we thought about loosening the chatting settings for new players. Stick by my stance first 24-48H is the most pivotal time for player retention. If they can't chat they will leave. Maybe this has already changed?

With the Christmas Box now available to be viewed, I’d like to take a moment to make a few small requests from the cows before it’s much too late.

 

Request 1:

 

In reference to Vitality - again, the idea behind the buff here is wonderful. HP is overlooked a lot, and this changes things a great deal - all around a 5/5 buff.

  • Suggestion

    • Christmas Gift From Cows = Free Player Reset

  • While I know this will likely get overlooked, when adding a buff like this, it changes the fundamental way things function all around. Vitality being added means some may no longer need Level Up Points in specific areas, so experimentation could help bolster activity across many facets given a player reset for people to toy around with. Plus, has this ever been given out as a gift? And if it has, how long has it been?

 

Request 2:

 

In reference to the Christmas Libation Epic Potion itself - 3/4 of the potion is wonderful. Mesmerize is a bit confusing

  • Suggestion

    • Change Mesmerize to Chi Strike, Fortitude, High Guard, or even Riposte to match the addition of Golden Shield; even changing it to something a little more “all-around” focused as opposed to something that’s strictly mob focused in Mesmerize.

 

Request 3:

 

The addition of the buffs here have piqued interest in their overall function in how combat is going to play out, so why not adding them in other areas as well?

  • Suggestion

    • Vitality and All For One Added to the Skill Tree at the High End (EoC)

    • Vitality and All For One: Inventable potions at level 250 to inject some activity back into the inventing facet as well.

  • New skills in the skill tree are long overdue, and inventing potions have been long outdone by other things; this could be a breath of fresh air for both of those things.

 

All in all, the new potion looks well done, and with the minor tweaks given suggestions, I’d happily scream “take my money HCS!”

Something that's not been mentioned yet is the "new player" experience.

 

I tried to get my wife to play the game half a year ago. And she did for a while, but also needed help, all the time.

 

The game is hard to get into. And my biggest wish, after most of the bugs are fixed, is for this game to get more players. Here's a few suggestions based on what we ran into.

 

1. Consider adding more tutorial to the game. Not many questions are answered when you create a new character. How does all your stats work? How does combat work? How do you know that you'll beat a monster? How does stamina work? What uses stamina and how much? What should you do when your inventory is full? What's the goal of the game? What happens if you're carrying 5.000.000 gold while being almost naked and level 7? Little to none of this is explained to new players. They have to figure it out themselves.

 

2. Consider hiding/locking a lot more content away for new players. It doesn't take many minutes to hit level 2, 3, 4 and 5. But at these levels you have no idea if you should put your stat points to attack, defense or HP. You have no idea which buffs are good, or if you should save your points for level 25. And you don't have a clue about all the options you have in the menu. Crafting? Hell Forge? Blacksmith? Bounties?  Consider hiding these things until level 10, 20, 30 something. (OK don't lock the blacksmith, explain that one instead!)

 

3. Grinding is how you play this game. Quests give you XP, which is a bonus. But quests are just that. It's a bonus to your XP, but now how you progress in general. Problem is that you added so much stuff in the low level areas that you removed the need to grind entirely. You can get the first many levels by just doing quests. My wife got good at doing these quests. But all of a sudden there were no quests left, and she had no idea what to do. There was no mission and she was "stuck". Grinding hadn't been introduced to her as a concept. It's understandable that you can't quest your way through almost 5.000 levels of content. But with grinding being an essential part of the game, a tutorial should be given, showing that you can and should in fact just kill things until you ding the next level. The concept should be fed in slowly, so that you have to grind just a little already in the beginning of the game, more and more, until it's a regular part of what the player does in between quests. To that extent I would suggest litterally moving some of the low-level quests to higher level areas, or nerfing the XP rewards. It's ok on the lower levels if quests are 75% of the XP. Just as long as there's a little grind necessary between levels.

 

4. Speaking of low-level areas, they are the most complex areas in the whole game. Think about it. First real area you encounter is Mountain Path. And there's so many places to go, and so many things on the map. Compare that to a random level 1234 map which has two waypoints and a shop. You're throwing new people out on the deep end first. I would suggest that you move some of the fluff out of Mountain Path (And possibly other low-level areas) and put it elsewhere. Furthermore, consider adding a few more tutorial areas before you introduce Mountain Path. You go from a teeny tiny 6x6 map to a huge 18x18 map, and that's overwhelming. How about a 10x10 in between or something like that.

In essence it's all about making sure that you get to explain important concepts to new players while not overwhelming them. Right now, if you start the game from scratch you're thrown out on the deep end and there's not much to help you. It's pretty much just Kate Winslet being fat on a floating door, and it's impossible for you to get up.

 

Honestly a huge bump from me. I've been wanting this for over 10 years.

I wonder if it's possible to implement container's on the UFSG listing out what potions are in them, as well as a function to search for specific buffs and potions will be listed.


I second that, also with Enhancements info about completed Sets...Even frag containers info about Global Event critters would be nice

The Fallen Sword Team have been extremely busy recently with a significant overhaul of the app. This version of the app is out now, though there has been some delay with it becoming available on iOS. We're expecting the update to be available on iOS soon though; sorry for any inconvenience caused.
