We're not doing this beating a dead horse thing. Details will be released soon for the 10th Anniv Plans. :)

Lets quit this whole HCS are the devil thing before this thread ends up removed.

Ok. But who bites the bullet with that sale, that was never even advertised on Legacy? Does that not fall on people within HCS to pass it along to and through Legacy, so it's properly taken advantage of?

I don't believe HCS are evil, the devil, or whatever else. But I do believe they absorbed Legacy, and would be interested in having something that is a part of their company, move in a positive direction, when there are clearly people playing and paying still. HCS and Zorg could pay it at least 'some' attention.

I do thank those that still assist Legacy from behind the scenes, doing what little they can, to poke and prod Zorg, or improve things. But a more proactive front overall would be nice.

I was checking out this post, debating to post, or if I did, what to say...

It seems pretty clear to me that HCS has no use for Legacy. No interest in getting even slightly behind it. I realize it's not the same type of game as the ones HCS puts out. But it's here. We're here. This game still has interest. We still have people plugging away playing it, and a select few trying to improve it any way they can. With a smidgen of attention, some furthering story writing, some added sections and images here and there, this game could still continue to grow. With a positive outlook from players, seeing slight improvements or new additions, it changes the whole community of the game. Thus encouraging new players who check it out, to see a more positive community, and sticking with the game.

That commentary stemmed from me seeing this:

https://forums.hunte...0-this-weekend/

There was a 20% off sale going, that Legacy players could have taken advantage of. But it wasn't mentioned or promoted properly on Legacy, so that is a huge loss. A blatant failure without any effort to make it anything but. Disappointing.

So now to be reminded that the 10 year anniversary is approaching, and there is not even the slightest of hype.

It truly looks like HCS as zero interest in Legacy. I'm not sure where Zorg is at with all this. But something positive has to give here. This anniversary would be a good place to do so.

I'm not a huge fan of players taking over the game, without flaws, unless there is some serious structure put in place for it. If that could be provided and laid out, I could possibly get behind it.

Hopefully something will develop from this thread, if it too, is not ignored like Legacy has been.

Nice of you to let Legacy players know. :/ You know we have in game forums so we don't use these. Also empty your mail box, Hoof.

You know, this is extremely disappointing and frustrating. The only reason I have any ties to this site, is to log into Legacy. I'm going to be a 10 year veteran player. The general notion amongst Legacy players, is that the game is pretty much overlooked or ignored by HCS. Something like this just proves it even more. I buy platinum for Legacy, and would have been enticed to take advantage of this offer, as would others.

I just don't understand why Legacy is shunned like this.

How? Tyran's rule that the gangs moved their conflict out of his hive so they wouldn't damage it, voiced through Seraph.

To do so, guards were employed from X-Corp. They are what carry you back when you expo.

A rogue would not have this liberty, so "realiztically" they wouldn't want to go out there, get knocked out, and suffer permadeath due to being left to rot.

All this requires is a little effort in the way of some good storytelling. This game seriously LACKS any continuing storyline, or advances in the lore or things we already know. So what if Seraph and X-Corp got tired of carrying out this task, due to such a huge increase in avatars and gang violence overall. Have random X-Corp spawnings in the WL to fight everyone, and make them actually challenging! Then have random groups of beings working for Tyran, hunting down X-Corp, and fighting all gangs. Force gangs to stop fighting each other on the occasional square to fend off these random instances.

This story driven distraction could allow Rogues to enter the WL, since others are too busy to keep them out. Make it a little more challenging for Rogues as they are targetted by X-Corp and Tyran's forces.  Rogues could then do some of the things mentioned, like hire on for other gangs when scales are tipped oddly in the WL, etc. Or just have Rogues do what Rogues do, whatever they feel like, since they are not tied down to gang restraints.

It's easy to tell people to join a gang and ignore gang directives and politics, but that doesn't always work. Imagine small groups within a gang attacking the wrong gang and pissing off leadership, it causes just as many annoying issues.

I've never understood why keeping rogues out, was such an issue for some, when it could entertain players and just add more to the game as a whole, and gaming experience for players. New things, and options, allow for more to do in a game.

I can understand people wanting some things balanced, fixed, or correctedin some way. But the game's fight engine/randomness/probablity issues have never been really fixed, and that was years ago that many people stood up for it, and it's still an annoying issue. So it looks like that and many other things just are not the kind of thing Zorg has time for or wants to deal with.
