Hi HCS Team

Please have a look at the imbalances in the game.

When you attack someone at your power, or above, you get "punished", as you lose your troops for good (no med bay). Instead you get "rewarded" when attacking lower lvl players, as you get their resources and win the events, with only few losses.
It should be the opposit.

As a result of this, The top level players, with 100+ mill power and tier 4 troops, have become untouchables. The do not attack each other,  because that would be suicidal. At that power, there are so many troops in a base, it is not possible to kill a considerable amount of them. The target can heal his wounded troops, while the attacker loses his for good.

We had a discussion in global chat, where the "big guns" expressed they were not happy about that either. It is not feasible for the "big guns" to attack each other, so they attack lower levels. This attacking lower levels, happens through all levels (all level player do it, not just "big guns"). That means new players get attacked the most, which drives them away.

The Nukes, rally and bunker were all supposed to to balance this. Non of these helped much, as they do not address the underlying problem, which are the imbalances in the fighting system. Fixing this would be require the fighting system to be re-done, and probably mean drastic changes. Would it be possible to create a new server, with a more even fighting system? Then players could switch to the server they prefer.

Please, this needs addressing soon. Even the big guns want challenges and need someone to fight. When the lower levels are driven away, it might not be that fun for them to play either.

Thank you for your time reading this,
regards.

Nice write up of the major problem with this game.  Defense definitely outweighs offense until you reach a certain level.  Since you have to pay for special troops, most players that purchase them are reluctant to commit them to offensive action where they could be lost permanently.  If there are not major changes to the combat system I think this game has little chance of long term survival.

Of course the problem the developers have is that they have some heavy hitters that have spent major cash on the game and would potentially react quite negatively to such changes.  They have to decide if those few players will make the game viable long term.  There are only so many players you can churn, the regions are littered with tons of level 2 & 3 bases where the players quickly figured out they didn't want to spend big to have a reasonably enjoyable playing experience and moved on to another game.

The alliance system seems to work well and is really the only reason I'm still playing, but at some point, collecting resources,  building out facilities and staying hunkered down is not enough to keep people engaged.

Other strategy war games I have played have created special outposts and/or researches that allowed for a percentage of losses from attack and defense to be revived. We already have the med bay so 1 idea would be to eliminate the 100% revival of lost units (up to med bay maximum) and introduce opportunities for both combatants to revive lost personnel and equipment. The maximum should never be 100% unless a buff is in effect allowing for such. Another change that might be good would be to have units destroyed while reinforcing a teammate be completely lost to the owner of those units and revived at the rate of the player they are reinforcing in that players med bays. I don't expect either of these suggestions to be popular, but we need to start throwing ideas out there.
