#988412 Theta 2 Problems.

We got all of that in the Delta 2 merge except the translator issue. That's a new feature. You will soon find that the merge will result in more players leaving the game as there is really no place for smaller alliances or players.
Given that these merges seem to be in response to the hordes of players leaving the game I'm not sure how much longer HC will continue to support. I guess as long as we have the pay to win players dumping in thousands they will keep it alive.

#987730 Incoming Patch : Game Update 1.8.5
Posted by Buffarilla on 01 December 2017 - 19:47
Another rerun, we've seen this episode, nothing to improve the game imbalances, everything to drive more money in HC's pockets. I'm not saying they shouldn't make money, heck, I'd like them to make tons of money.
I'd also like them to throw us a bone once in a while and do something about 100M+ power players attacking players well below their power level. The developers have created the situation that encourages this and I think the problem is they don't know how to fix it without getting the big spenders all fired up.
I think the last update that did anything to help developing players was the bunker, and that just saves us from having to heal every unit after one of the bullies attacks....

#980519 Player Suggestions
Posted by RodasPT on 05 May 2017 - 23:52
Some suggestions:
1) Put an Icon of available worker, top of the screen of something like that, but be visible;
2) If possible to allow to buy, for a limited time, an extra worker then show bellow worker icon 1/2;
3) I'm still new in the game, but looking for some feedback on Steam, seems like P2W gamers attack lower players destroying everything they hardly built. The game could have some "player ranks mechanics" which when higher level player attack players lower than his level it only receives a very lower percentage of the available resources. The same thing could be done to resources tiles on the map. So with this we avoid a powerful players to take all the available resources or players bases from lower players.
4) The Resources/Aliens tiles on the map could be spawn with the right levels for the surrounded players base level. So each players will have more or less the level they are able to attack. This is more for the Dawned Dropship, Dark Activity and Alien Activity tiles... a Player with level 8 base don't have power to kill a Downed Dropship level 8 which have 1.2M of power.
Improvements:
1) Remove all game notifications (android top notification area) when we start the game;
2) There were times when I was inside the game and still continue to popup game notification in notification area;
3) Give more time when viewing publicity clips from the game. If we wait a few seconds more after the 30 seconds clip, when we return to the game, the game restarts again, like it has got inactive;
4) It's sometimes difficult to build/select an exact number of units. Should be possible to tap on the number and type a number from virtual keyboard;

The extra events are a "cash cow" and nothing really for the players.
Is there any servers with 100 active alliances? Maybe 20 from experience on Gamma it's about 4.

congratulations,you will not listen to your players,your doing a wonderful job
They should change their name from HuntedCow to CowFarmer seems all of their effort is to increase their ability to milk their players, not actually improve game play. I have probably invested $300+ in the game, not counting the hours playing, but I haven't bought anything for months now. I don't mind paying for entertainment, I'll drop hundreds at the casino in an hour or so, but this just feels like I'm really being manipulated.
All you have to do is look at the events they post. Defeat units, destroy facilities, tech research, gain power - all designed to require shards if you want to score well.
Then look at the "improvements" they make - very few aimed at improving game play for new/smaller players. When we do get new players it really doesn't take long for them to figure out they have to invest heavily or spend their time with units in the med bay and their hero under constant threat of capture. Who wants to slog away at that?
But in the end HC is at the mercy of players that have invested thousands of dollars in the game. They have set up a perverse dependency with the players that support them through heavy investment, but at the same time destroy the pleasure of playing the game for thousands of other players, this limiting their growth potential.

#982758 Attacking Bases Pointless?
Posted by Buffarilla on 17 July 2017 - 15:50
You have accurately described one of the biggest failures of the game design here. Once a player gets to a certain level, they are mostly untouchable, needing to worry only about the 200M+ power monsters. Alliances do nothing to balance this. A single player in the 30M power range can continually harass an alliance of over 300M and the alliance can really do nothing. In fact, to the power players being in an alliance is something of a weakness since your smaller players can get punished for what you do.
And once you reach a certain size you stop gathering and just raid for resources. This again limits the opportunity to damage large players in any meaningful way since they are not exposing their units on long gathering expeditions.

#982756 Attacking Bases Pointless?

Our Alliance is trying to fight some level-equivalent or higher player(s), and I am trying to figure out how to kill off their troops. So far, it seems to attack them at their base, even with superior numbers, is borderline idiotic because of Medbays. Or, at least, the huge numbers they heal.
If our Alliance rallied a player with 800,000 troops, and even managed to get 1,000,000 in on the Rally, all of the defenders units would survive via the medbays. Great for defenders. However, the attacking troops would die flat out, destroying 10s of millions of power for the attackers. So while the attackers could claim "Victory" in the Rally, in reality the attackers permanently lose units and might, while the defender can just sit back and heal his lost 800,000 troops.
So what is the point here? Why on earth would anyone on earth attack another's base unless you are attacking much smaller players so you don't lose many troops?
Am I supposed to just start attacking opponents outposts, hoping to kill 20 players at a time until the other guy gets bored before I do?
Trying to figure this out.
EDIT: For comparison, in similar games even maxed out hospitals would only heal 2-300,000 troops max with big players armies in the millions. So if an Alliance Rallied a large player, his troops would eventually start dying off. This makes attacking a large player via a Rally a viable proposition. In this game, it's a fools errand.
