Give new players a sack or two (bound) from a quest.

Think it might be nice to introduce new players to the usefulness of sacks early on, and also give them that little bit of extra storage space.

 

Maybe add them to an existing quest reward, or put in a new little quest which gives them a sack or two and explains what they are for.

 

Would need to be bound, for obvious reasons.  :P

I was actually thinking of posting this myself a month or two back, I was thinking that new players who start out get introduced to a skilling tutor right off the start and he has each new player go through a skilling tutorial and upon the completion of the tutorial that player gets awarded 1-4 bound sack that are bound to that character.  have this tutorial use non general skilling materials..so no copper,amethyst (first tier materials) instead use a tutorial based product for each skilling set and give examples of how to do them and what is needed.

2 come to mind.  The foraging quest (bucket) and the Racketeer apple quest (sack).

Get 1 free bag from quest, Realy shoul dbe free Sack - basket - bucket - get keep vs limited to Quest locked item.

I agree that the sack would be much more useful than the pitiful bag you get at the beginning. Introducing new players to sacks will entice them to get more later on as they are essential for gathering enough materials to make your crafting worthwhile.

I think they should be from the quests that bryn said. Not from any tutorial quest, as getting a lot of goodies at start ain't good. Having them as reward of said quests also are good to keep players from quitting at level 15 (at least a bit), as level 15 is the most popular level to quit at.

IGN: Player. I usually think in longevity point of view.
