I remember that race, you got the first belt, I got the first armor piece, then eventually (after long ass grinding) first set. Now you guys blink and, hey new armor piece, ahaha.
On the topic though, they mentioned previously, that end game sets would be tiered. If they did that and made the tiers exponentially harder to obtain that could push longevity out for a bit. But if they make it too grindy people will complain and they will probably implement daily armor piece quest again... So they need to find a way to do it well...
my point here was mostly don't make us grind out brainless dead content that is way too easy in order to get top notch stuff.
the best stuff should be hard to achieve and absolutely not something to be gained within an hour or two.
the unity remnant grind the way it was before benevolent dungeoneer also handed them out was better than the way it is now.
people just grind 2 out of 3 bosses now non stop without any form of competition
doom and i would grab a warsin and kill 2 bosses at the same time for the sake of getting kills as fast as possible.
reliving old content proves little to no purpose in my opinion.
if they added hard modes to dungeons and gave us excentric rewards that are only cosmetic and for the sake of collecting then i am sure that people would grind it.
dungeon specific vanities booyah what better way to show you mastered a certain dungeon?
toss levels up to lvl 50 add some special stuffs and that becomes a worthy grind for those who desire it. but tiered stuff would mean that there would be adding and empowering to what i'd like to call an empty weapon with special slots
not mixing in 20 old weapons into one superweapon

first of all the only thing that could balance this would be a fatigue system
player A is about to start a rampage
player A kills player B
player A gets 1 fatigue stack
player A is now weakened and get's a 5% penalty to all stats
player A kills player C
player A gains another fatigue stack
player A now is weakened even more and gets a 10% penalty to all stacks
player D wants revenge for his buddies kills player A
player D gains 5% fatigue player A his fatigue is cleared
fatige clears with 1 stack per 2 minutes
the only real reason to kill people in ta is to get quick materials from sweeping ta gatherers and for the sake of the achievment
as long as some1 has fatigue stacks said person can't leave trappers atoll
that 130 minutes of not being able to leave ta?
man who wants to sit in ta doing nothing for 130 minutes after killing someone ...
a bounty system won't work if some1 has the right build they won't die ...
and you talk about pking not having risk
everybody who enters ta risks getting killed ...
gear loss level loss
come on ...
this ain't a game where you can buy your gear withing seconds and go back in again
you'd die and get crippled so much from that that you'd probably never get back up again
this ain't deadman mode.

back in the day nobody knew about gluten now everybody is alergic to it
too much salt
is there any sweet peppers in it etc etc etc
people have gotten picky over the years.
everybody has their own special diet and it's close to impossible to adapt to everybody their wishes
you all are getting lactose intolerant where we are dealing with cows
and it's not toxic
it's people wanting the best possible and that is their good right

Now that is true. But then again, you do not need a large group of players with a lot of stamina to dominate against those that have just 500-2000 stamina. It will be very interesting to see how that will be solved.
This gives EOC players a chance to burn their stamina while waiting which in one way is good, but the counter effect is that the smaller players (with less max stam) won't bother. And that would be the big loss in this whole system.
It are the new players you need to tie to the game.
maintaining eoc players is just as important as maintaining new players
daily quests maintain new and old players
daily events would maintain older players
daily quests easy rewards for easy tasks
daily events great rewards for hard tasks and big comittment and investment
i'd rather have the small stam bank players not participate in the events so they can upgrade and build up their character so that they can effectively participate in the events rather than rushing them into events where they stand no chance
