#947031 Mount Climb Speed

Posted by Sap on 29 August 2015 - 04:56

This isn't anything big or important but I think all mounts should have the same speed to climb onto them.

It dosen't really matter anywhere else besides TA but it would still be nice to be able to climb onto your favorite mount without it taking a few more seconds than lets say, the Purple Cloak.

#939159 Release All The World Bosses From Their Cage!

Posted by l3fty on 17 July 2015 - 09:01

Eldevin doesn't have raid groups, so for us to name an encounter a raid would not seem right. For Eldevin the distinction is simply between bosses within instances, and bosses in the world.

Had we raid groups, we probably would structure these things differently. For now we have just kept the terminology straightforward.

Why don't you edit that post again and remove your personal attack jackass.

#939134 Release All The World Bosses From Their Cage!

Posted by Ben on 17 July 2015 - 01:11

Blood Defiler, Shade of the Green Dragon, Zorskaar, Kongar and Avatar of Amun are all World Bosses as stated in the release notes by the developers and will remain to be called as such regardless of definition or popular inclination.

Why even argue this point? By definition many things in Eldevin are incorrect, but this is a fantasy setting where the rules are set by numerous bright minds within Elgin.

Also if you do see something incorrect on the Eldevin Wiki please take the time to edit it or inform an admin. Those who do edit the Eldevin Wiki regularly obtain their information in-game or from official sources and if up-to-date information is corrupt that has been added to the Wiki by these editors, you'd best discuss it with the developers because by Eldevin's definition, it is correct.

#895180 [STEAM] related suggestion.

Posted by xpwaste on 18 October 2014 - 08:50

Do not launch just now, there are many things that are yet to be implemented to able to make eldevin a time spending worthy game.

Though you might launch now, i am afraid that withing few weeks, or just a single month the steam community with discard the game as "un-finshed, un-balanced, no end game.".

Suggestions:

  • For PVE

1. Guilds

2. Auction House

3. Class balance

4. End game

5. Open world grind-able content

6. End game progression content with variety.

that for pve.

  • As for PVP.

1. Need progression for pvp.[ i.e. something you can gain by spending so many hours on it and not just vanity.]

2. Need more CC and counter-CC

3. Need more challenging/interesting class playstyles.

  • In general

1. Even though i hate p2w models, im fine with it as your providing everything to anyone who hasn't spent a dime. This may bite you in the a$$ so i suggest you take a look again at your cash shop. Specially at the gold chest, that for some would the ONLY reason not even bothering with playing the game.

2. Need more vanities, yes more awsome, dark, secret, beautiful, shiny, show off, reputation grinded, world boss kills, end game raids[or dungeons in this case], and random open world content vanities

3. Re-model your mounts. This is not a child based MMO and the story quest has no reference to anyone with a flying cape, or a helicopter cycle.

4.Make things more fun, it might be tough to achieve but to able to retain players you need to make your content fun and challenging.

5. Replability. MMOs are not usually one time buy ,finish story quest and move onto other games.

you need to add replay ability so that the players are kept engaged even after they complete/clear the end game content.

The points marked in RED, are imo more important and should be at top of priority than others.

Good luck in your en devours devs. :)

TA has made people ugly.  I hate this game anymore.

What game that has PvP has a goody-goody community?  never heard of that.Came to this game for the PvP , like the fast pace of it, yes i agree 8.5 seconds is long  that should be nerfed to 8 seconds sounds more reasonable (jk) .To be honest I expected people that died in TA to be "ugly" that they lost their items , what i did not expect is people that would believe TA would be more of a...

"Oh you killed me that time ahahaha , enjoy those 1583 oranges man"

"Ah bro you want them, I can give them back"

"Nah dude don't sweat it, I love grinding man"

"Ah thanks bro  i need the extra coin...we're still Friends right?"

"Yea man why not?"

Or limit it to 10, 2 x groups of 5 so there is some kind of strategy and organization needed. Then it will work like dungeons, where you get to know your fellow groupies and can all trust eachother. Rather than just turn up, play your trumpet and get in on the loot.

**nevermind, guthix thinks this is a stupid idea.

I like the idea and I think you should stick to your guns. You're a strong independent woman, don't let him take that away from you!

#854196 Automatic Resets/Relearn Daily Quests

Posted by ZooksterGaming on 08 March 2014 - 23:13

I popped thius out earlier today and others seems to think it was a good idea.

I would love to have all my dailies be rested to the first stage each day. Just like how the WB quests are. There is  no need to re-learn any of the WB quests, you just go there and kill it, the turn quest in.

All the clicking to accept all these dailies, getting the learned quest pop up (if you have that setting on) is getting tedious.

#853361 Limit World Boss Groups to 10, to increase the challenge.

Posted by Malthrus on 05 March 2014 - 18:32

There should be bosses/content in the game that are difficult. If every player can kill every boss, then what is there to separate a good player from an average one? MMORPG's are built on community and competition.

If you are just an average player, then like Mongo said you have a challenge to tackle and keep you busy for awhile, which means you don't run out of things to do as quickly. The satisfaction of killing a boss that killed you many times is tenfold compared to a new boss that you killed first try because it was too easy. I state that from personal experience of killing extremely difficult bosses from older games vs killing the watered down loot pinata's of instant gratification from more recent games.

You don't HAVE to kill every boss without wipes, this is what I think most people didn't understand when we were trying to figure out zork first couple times, people cared more about their repairs than trying to overcome a challenge. Guess why people used to play old MMORPG's for years yet basically all MMO's made in the last 4 years are beaten and discarded within the first couple of months? Because they were more difficult, the content kept you busier for longer.

However I don't think all world bosses should be difficult, but 1 or 2 of them should require a skilled group or co-ordination though and drop better stuff to compensate for increased challenge. If your stance on the game is that everyone should be able to beat every piece of content (communism gaming), then you are likely in for a disappointment when lvl 50 & ascended dungeons are released.

#853621 Limit World Boss Groups to 10, to increase the challenge.

Posted by Malthrus on 06 March 2014 - 18:18

You do have the same fair chance as everyone else? The keyword here is chance, as in you don't always succeed.

How does a better player have any advantage, because they are better at playing the game...? Please tell me you are trolling, because I don't think any game developer would take your opinion seriously with that outlook on game design.

Sorry but if you can't faceroll your way through every boss you might actually have to use both halves of your brain to figure out what you did wrong and how you could do better next time. This is a video game not a movie. You don't just sit there and watch it play itself, you have to actually overcome your adversary.

#850939 sackable rare materials

Posted by sareth on 21 February 2014 - 18:43

i know someone might suggest this before, every time i mention this to a player they wish it was possible.

would this feature be possible in future? i got so many rare materials and i don't wish to destroy them because they take so much space, sacking will same me some back space and make me buy more sacks

#849645 World Boss Loot - Auto Equal Roll

Posted by Mongo on 16 February 2014 - 13:21

Groups for World Boss can be huge. I think it would be a sensible idea to have the loot roll equally for everyone (no choice given) so everyone has the same chance of gaining an item or two.

This will not stop players or groups of friends trading between them, as I think all the loot can be traded.

It will negate any problems of misunderstanding or dishonesty. For many players this is the only chance they will have at looting some of the best Gems in the game etc. and putting in the time and effort killing the boss only to have it ruined by one player can take all the fun out of it.  :P

Thanks for that. In a future update Taskmaster Lister will return more powerful than ever before!

(Thanks, I've bumped him up to be equal to the others. You'll see the fix in a future update.)
