hi there

 

i am planning to do a huge ass hunt one day

 

and ummm i feel like skipping khartak

 

so i wonder as a level 950 with adept learner 863, stalker 230, librarian kicks in with doubler 1725 and i kill a carver

 

how much exp would i get? 

 

couldn't find a calculator that could help me out here 

 

any help is appreciated !

Loooong time since I played... but I think I got 575 levels in one hunt during xp event. Karthak is actually real easy, I think you can enter a map with creeps alot higher than your level and kill them for like 10 levels to avoid all the route finding.

 

I am sure someone will come along and correct me though, as like I said not played in a while. My brain no work so good.

For me, I went through Karthak and did all the quests along the way. But there is a way to skip most of it without doing to many quests. Someone will need to correct this if I am wrong, but I believe you can go into the level 960 or 961 and hunt high enough to get past all of those quests.

So ... you're planning to just hunt Carvers in order to level?  That seems tedious, but to each their own.

meh maybe during a double exp event so that i can maybe gain 10 levels per carver since i can hunt down a total of 5 to skip it entirely would be so epic ^^

I reckon 11,400,000. You didn't mention sacrifice so I've assumed 400 + distil. That is also for a 1-hit kill, so doesn't account for AS if you don't 1-hit.

 

*BUT* when I was doing these calculations on a regular basis I found I kept overestimating the amount of Xp I should get. I got partway through an RJEM-like analysis and decided the effects of elite hunter, stalker, lib (doubling frequency), overkill and arterial strike were all working according to the skill descriptions (and forum, in the case of elite hunter). That left me wondering whether AL underperformed with respect to the description - or whether it doesn't stack with some of the other bonuses; but I never got around to doing the trial hunts with different buff combinations and recording the Xp/kills to test this.

 

Anyway, if you have lib 500+distil, that becomes an average of 8,400,000 per kill, and so you'd need about 65 kills to get from 950 to 970

 

Hunting an SE to gain 20 levels does sound painfully slow, though.

that was some great help! but i saw cemilabi gain 5 levels from 4 carvers during 3x exp ... so i think you miscalculated somewhere cuz i would gain about 0.8 levels per carver according to that and i don't know what buffs he used but it can't be less than that what i'll be using

saw 29m exp over there so that would be 19,3m exp

Going through Karthak via creatures and even subleveling a bit might be more effective than SE Hunting Skull Carver (even with LF 1725 active) due to the walking/teleporting for 25 stam+walking each kill. I did it last year with a similar setup without much issue.

Mind I rushed through it and subleveled a good bit in Karthak due to time constraints... (4am shifts suck, lol) unless you have the full weekend to plan it out though, I'd recommend taking friday/saturday to zero in on getting as much as you can, and maybe grab a Xmas box to crack an BM 500 with it, depending on how much current stam you'll plan on buying, though a BM 300 might do well enough if you're smartly avoiding quests.

No mistake - that is about what I said: 65 carvers for 20 levels corresponds to 16 carvers for 5 levels. Add in the 3x Xp for the event and that reduces to 5 carvers for the 5 levels. I quoted an average, but with only 4 kills, you could easily have more advantage from lib than the average, so 4 carvers is quite possible (though lucky)
