In Topic: Mac Issues

I just discovered another issue that might have to do with these conflicts.  The Custom Chat tab doesn't work.  It's greyed out and I can't find a way to make it active.  I just joined a guild, and they use it for guild chat; the guild leader said I should press F6 to get the custom chat, but that doesn't do it.  It seems like there's no way for me to join the guild chat.

Please tell me I'm wrong and there is another way I'm not aware of.

Unfortunately without specific examples this would mean we would have to go over every piece of text in the game. There's far too much for it to be feasible. However, if you find anything that particularly frustrates you I will happily look at it. :)

Yes I understand, and I don't mean to make life cumbersome for you and others.  I'll keep my eyes open for examples in game.  In the meantime, on this page in this thread, here are two examples:

It should read, "A timid one will do the trick.  The Crimson Macabre..." or possibly "A timid one will do the trick, since the Crimson Macabre..."

Here it should read, "I have talked to Innkeeper Alphonse.  He seems like quite a nice person..."

In Topic: How to make professions MAXXING WORTH - UPDATED

Why not just make more items that are only craftable?  Maybe they're better than other items, or maybe they're just different.  For example, let's say an item from Ohdar Scar has 18 vit, 22 sorcery, and 23 energy.  (I have no idea if such stats are on any existing items.  It doesn't matter.)  There could be a craftable item with 24 vit, 16 sorcery, and 24 energy.  Again, these are numbers I'm pulling out of my butt.  My point is that more variation in equipment will create more demand for crafted items because it will allow diversity in builds.

Personally I'd love to see more demand, but the idea of leveling a profession to max just so I can make one item for myself kinda makes me queasy.  When I level professions, it's so I can provide a service and a product to other players.  It makes me feel helpful and integral to the economy and the player community.  I play MMOs because of the community.  If you can only get the best equips by making them yourself, then you might as well play alone.

I haven't played a game with such an option, but I like it.  It has lots of potential for fun.  :P
