The fallensword helper, whilst an approved script, can be user-modified to provide extra functionality that the "core" helper doesn't provide. As such, for those with javascript knowledge, it can - and does - offer the ability to cheat in various facets of the game.

 

Zorg is reluctant to add the core features into the game - see http://forums.hunted...516#entry873841 for reasons - so, to combat the problem, here's a simple yes or no question.

 

Should the FSH be banned from the game ?

This is what I will say FSH runs off of GREASMONKEY.  As long as we have greasmonkey in the game players will be able to write scripts that run off of greasmonkey.

 

This is a FACT, im not voting either way since I know the benefits FSH bring to the game, but since it is run off of greasmonkey it will always be open to people making user scripts that bypass the cows security.  lets face it they write a script to prevent a script and then all another players has to do is alter that script!

 

If people need examples i will give you an example of another game that uses greasmonkey ....its called KOC....short for kingdoms of camelot.  Here is web site where they provide cheats for KOC.....http://userscripts.o...pts/show/101052.   I stopped playing this game years ago b/c every time the game support would fix an illegal script, there were scripters that would have a work around up and running within a few hours. 

 

You can check out the proof here if you like.... I use KOC as my example b/c no one this can use KOC scripts to benefit them in FallenSword.  However, it was scriptors just like this who wrote the script for FSH PLUS, which is now banned from Fallensword.  However, there is nothing to prevent someone from writing a new script and using Greasmonkey to run it.

 

 

 

AGAIN I AM NOT VOTING EITHER WAY, I JUST FEEL THAT IT IS ONLY FAIR TO SHOW HOW PLAYERS CAN WRITE SCRIPTS AND USE GREASMONKEY TO RUN THEM ON FALLENSWORD.

jshep, I'll try to be clear and quickly.

All your ideas are about making Arena 'fair' for everybody, creating 'Arena only' gear without level limit, players not being able to join more than X Arenas at the same time, create 15 new moves.

- 'Arena only' gear:
Bad idea, those who invest time and $ on the game should receive their reward for that, affording better gear is just an example, if we don't need gear to join a good amount of the gear out there will be useless, and that's bad for the game economy.

- New moves to reset Arena:
We don't need 15 new moves, we already have 15 differents moves to work on, maybe we can have 1 or 2 sometime, but not really needed, all the players have access to all the moves already.

- Cooldown on players joining Arena:
Limiting the players able to join the Arena doesn't make the Arena more active, that's simple.
 

First off I suggested starting the arena from scratch yesterday and have not addressed that post since then. Mostly b/c my main point of that post was to address how unfair the arena is and to show how many advantages there were for some players in the arena.  Regardless, you didnt address anything in that post until now, you just picked out a word here and there, took it out off context and went off on a tangent. I havent mentioned it since then,  So unless it just takes you a day to address what I actually  write it's a mute point.

 

I already said I liked Leos idea many times, although somehow you an others think when I say I like it that im arguing?  I suggested a maximum amount of arena matches any one person could enter at one time.  That's not a cooldown, its letting everyone have the chance to enter the same amount of matches and win the same amount of tokens.  But at least that is the closest you have come to addressing something I actually said in a post!

550,600,650,700,750,800,850,900,950,1000 (every 50 levels from 501-1000)

 

1100,1200,1300,1400,1500,1600,1700,1800,1900,2000,2100,2200,2300, 2400 (every 100 levels from 1001-2400)

 

This gives exactly 50 different tournaments that can spawn and if you want to make it to where someone always has something to enter make it to where if 1 of these 50 start it is automatically re spawned after it is completed.

 

The only thing I would also do to add some variety is have each respawn be random on whether it:

 

-Allows Forges

-Allows Moves

-Allows Epics

 

I feel that having tournaments spawning in those 50 different levels allows everyone in the game to be able to enter the arena at any time if they wish, it also makes it a little simpler for the average player as they know which levels they need to have gear for and prepare for.

First, I would like to say your idea is one of the few FAIR ideas I have seen in this forum for a while.  It's nice to see there are still rational thinking people in this game.

 

 

I dont know if this is the best bracket/tier option but I for one would vote for it over the current one.

 

I congratulate you for thinking of the community as a whole and not like others who just want what's best for them!

 

Someone please tell me how I am arguing Leos idea here?  Post 199 if you want to check!!!

Dear jshep74,

 

Please read the entirety of all the posts before commenting. Your previous posts in this thread have only been you ranting the same thing and yelling at people where it wasn't merited, myself included. We cannot move forward in finding a solution that you approve of until you read the posts that people took the time to write in this thread.

 

I look forward to your response and hopefully multiple responses for all the points you ignored earlier in the thread!
