Hi all,Further to our update on Mercenaries yesterday, we have now greatly increased their stats so they now apply an equivilant of 40% of their previous stats towards a combat. This was achieved by basically doubling their previous stats. So in essence they are still applying a 20% contribution towards the group stats, but since we have double the stats it is equivilent to it being roughly 40% of their old stats.As well as this, we have added another two Mercenaries to the game:Albs Guard (Level 1380 Champion)Frozen Shadow Warrior (Level 1950 Champion)We've also fixed the issue with the recently added Mercenaries images being too large compared to the others~ The Fallen Sword Team

excellent HOOF, awesome change and i am sure the majority of the players enjoy it , especially those of us in smaller guilds..again , you are doing an outstanding job lately.. i am stunned at how fast you are understanding the small changes that are needed and have been acting really fast to correct them, super kudos

Thanks, but all this means is that they are now 2x as expensive to hire vs if they gave more percentage they would cost the same but be of more benefit.

The stats don't affect the cost to hire them - it's based on their level (which hasn't changed)

Is it time to raise the maximum mercs a guild can hire at the same time? From max3 to 6? 10?!!
hmm..would think that would not be needed with the new changes..dont need a super easy win button. just my opinion..

What if you just make the base stat to 40% so basically they would do 100% of their service(s)? But that might look odd to have little stats compared to their level. Idk.

By doubling their base stats, the mercs are now much more serviceable and that action allows the mercenaries to follow suit in groups along with players - i.e. 20% of their stats apply to the group.
I'm very impressed by Hoofs attention to this over the last few days - I'm going thru all the mercs now (updating a spreadsheet I have on 'em) and will post back in here if there are discrepancies on stat "favourings" (i.e. if there's a multitude of mercs where armour is prime, but not enough where defence is prime) and hopefully he'll address those issues, but all in all, I'm very pleased with the attention he's given to the ALL-TO-LONG neglected part of the game.

Its basically the same.. Yes It gets updated quick as I saw on the other thread goes which is nice. Though like some people said they paid the merc 100% just for them to work with just 40% of their power. I'm just thinking if it would be good that their current based stat is compressed to 40% and make their contribution 100%? Its like a hired a horse but she refuses to use her other 2 legs. Still.. Updates are nice.

NIce change to the mercenaries aspect. Thank you. I think I will be needing them for SE hunting in the near future.

thank you sooooo much...and i want to say that it was awesome to hire the AMAZON SCOUT to actually KEEP her as our merc, instead of hiring her to get her off the rotation!!! and how nice it was to not spend a good 15 mins trying to get a FAIRLY decent merc!!! found her on my third try.....now im excited to just look at all their hard work and how it paid off......

this will be a great help for questing, elite- & SE-hunting, especially for smaller guilds
