Just trying to gauge the popularity of this idea. Would you be interested in Bit Coin as a 4th method of paying for items in the Hunted Cow shop? We're willing to code this as a payment option if enough people would be interested in using it.

I vote yes but will not use, anything that opens up payment options for more players/countries can only be a good thing right?  :)

I have to agree.  From what I know of BitCoin, it won't cost HCS anything to use it (other than the time to code it in) and it would give more players options for obtaining FSP where they otherwise wouldn't be able to.

I have been thinking about looking in to BitCoins for a while now so you can put me down as a maybe...

I'm not so sure, of course there's no harm in multiple payment options but I've never really seen bitcoin as a popular payment, and I can't really see it becoming a popular payment method.

That being said, if it's not going to take long to implement and you have a fair idea (as a whole company) of how you're going to do it, I think it would be a good idea.

However if it is going to take a while to plan and prepare for implementation I think it's something that may be best saved for a future date (as I know the company is quite busy right now).

However given the usefulness of extra payment options I'll vote for option 2.

Voted option #2.

Bitcoin's value is currently too volatile to be made as a payment option. I see it more as an 'investment vehicle', so I'd rather hoard them than spend them on goods and services.

I voted #4.  It's too volatile and there is nothing to keep the bitcoin system from being revamped or eliminated without warning which would make payments useless.  My advice is to find alternative ways of payment that involve actual funds.

No A big waste of time. Anyone who knows anything about bit coins knows they are unstable. One could be worth 17 dollars right now then be worth pennies in a blink of the eye. So everyone would buy them when value is low which would be a lot of lost revenue for the Cows. Bit coins would destroy the economy of all HCS games. I would love for there to be other methods for payments but this is not the answer.

Edit: at the time of this post 1bit coin= 803 US dollars.

When are people going to realize that bitcoins are NOT a STABLE economy AT ALL.

We deal in enough phney money as is. Also a lot of wealthy investors are DEVESTING from bit-coin. If my economics classes I'm taking at a public university serve me any well, I'd urge HCS to stay clear of bit coin. There were other attempts at fiat money in past few decades after the US went of gold standard. Each failed miserably.

I think dealing with more virtual payment methods, like Ultimate Game Card and similar pre-paid services can help the revenue flow much more for HCS than something as very risky as bitcoin. Valve doesn't accept it for a reason.

Stay the course with getting this game Greenlit and the revenue as well as access for more players to donate via steam will grow with it.

Despite everything, it can open up alot of opportunities, but they have to be worked in the right way or you'll lose tons of money.
