Hi all,

We've been listening to your feedback on the forum regarding the durability loss to Crystalline items and we've now changed it so there is now always a minimum of 0.25% chance for them to take durability damage in combat instead of the 1% minimum chance.

Might as well nerf it completely again, as this will not cause crystal to break very much. *shrugs*

I like the change but did it have to wait AFTER i finish my hunt? I lost like 12 durability points(total) in my hunt! (don't tell my guild founder) >_<

If Hoof is happy to set Crystal to take damage at .5%, I'm happy to double Arena and Inventable Crystalline Durability.

This, would have been better, as we all njoy the chomper events... lowering the durability loss to 0.25% chance, makes the events.. well.. not as needed :-/

No one can deny that we changed this game and influenced it in such a way that NO ONE could compete with us.. so much so that they changed the rules. ~Abhorrence, chosen founder of Cerulean Sins

Consider though, this change allows for an increase, if it appears to be needed, without upsetting those that hunt between now and any future change.

To clarify to you hoof, I think he is asking if the percentage would be the same even without ub on at all.

If so the answer would be or at least should be no.

Consider this: I use crystal daily, not only for hunting - and I would still prefer the stuff to break.
1% for all crystal gear, and double the durability on the harder to get crystal (arena/ladder/inventable) would have been perfect in my eyes.

A poor decision to revert it to .25%, We want and need more crystal events and the rate of of destruction was finally going to allow that. Now we are almost back to square one. Why not just go 1 step further and allow no damage to gear at all and scrap crystal events all together:( I never hunt with anything except UB 175 and lose durability, I just purchase another set once it breaks, pretty simple if you ask me.

Correct :)

Obviously UB200 will leave it set at decay of .25% per combat. But does UB175 keep it at only the .25% or is it now added to the general chance and now sits at 12.75% chance, is the general 12.5% chance, or is just .25% and the 12.5% chance to take damage only applies to all other equipment?

Items only have a 6% chance per item to lose durability per hit if you use no UB at all.
UB175 would reduce this by 87.5% (so 12.5% of 6% is left). 6% * 12.5% = 0.75%; not 12.5%.

But the main questions remain:
[*:2ydok5hj]Does Crystalline now always break at 0.25% irregardless of UB?
[*:2ydok5hj]Does it break at the same rate as other gear but with a minimum of 0.25%?
[*:2ydok5hj]Does it break at the same rate as other gear but with an added chance of 0.25%?
I've listed the durability loss chances below for the different situations and for normal (non-crystalline items).
Situation UB0 UB50 UB100	UB150	UB175	UB190	UB200
	  1 0.25%	0.25%	0.25%	0.25%	0.25%	0.25%	0.25%
	  2 6% 4.5% 3% 1.5% 0.75%	0.3% 0.25%
	  3 6.25%	4.75%	3.25%	1.75%	1% 0.55%	0.25%
Normal items 6% 4.5% 3% 1.5% 0.75%	0.3% 0%

I'd say the situation should be number 2: the same rate of durability loss as normal gear with the exception that it always has a minimum of 0.25%.

edit: the UB190 had a little error.

Although your UB 190 column seems to be off, I strongly believe it's situation #2.

I'm happy with the .25% decay as opposed to the 1%, but would like to see some change to the hell forging scale, even if it's only to crystalline items.

On a side note: Hey Hoof, did you know that BigGrim was just stealing company time by titan hunting? Get the cattle prod!

Those are mutually exclusive answers. If I have no Unbreakable buff, a normal item will lose durability 6% of the time.

With the changes will a crystalline item break approximately 6% (as a regular item) or will it break 0.25% (ignoring Unbreakable)? Please pick only one answer.

I'd guess you mean it would be like situation 2 in my example. Is that correct, Hoof?

From your answers here I can conclude that if I was wearing all crystaline gear there would be no need to use ub at all because it wouldnt affect my dmg rate?

If thats true its a bit rediculous if you ask me. If you arent using ub then you should do damage as normal. you should change it so the min is .25 percent chance to do dmg, not a flat rate of .25 percent.
