is broken.

I accidentally posted this in suggestions where I don't even know if the team saw it. (?)  I guess I was suggesting that it is, in fact, broken.  Unless I'm missing the point of the swirling dust storm that creatures casually stroll from.  It doesn't cause one ounce of damage and by the time it even reaches it's destination, the things I am attacking don't even seem to notice. :(

I would have thought that tornado would at least target something and hold that target however the same has happened to me . targetted mob , cast tornado , mob walks to the right and tornado just shoots where it was before it moved. Therefore no damage done to the initial target or even to anything close to the target. If this is how it is designed , I'm thinking waste of gold :(

Yet to try it out in dungeon but as it is at the moment I can't imagine it doing much in there either

In dungeons it could work because it gets all targets which is on tornado moving line. But in pvp completely useless.

sometimes it doesn't even register. In pvp it could work well in ctf and domination. I feel its travel time should be reduced by approx 1 second from a-b and also have its reach of tornado increased too aprox 6 yards to make it moderately effective for its purpose and cost.

I want my 1k g back.  :(

Tornado is definitely bugged.  I've cast it both long range and point-blank range to test it, and 50% of the time it does no damage when it hits the target directly.

Even if that gets fixed, tornado is pretty useless in pve and pvp.  The radius of "aoe" is so small that it should be classified as single target.  In dungeons and solo grinding, mobs won't be stacked right on top of each other for tornado.  The casting is too long for solo grind and pvp.  Why would I use tornado which does 6k dmg if it manages to hit and that I must remain standing in one place for, when I could use black fang, detonate, and blood fang (or other skills) in the same amount of time for 8-10k dmg and could kite while using them?

I've looked into Tornado, it's definitely a ground target / skill shot ability, I've checked its AoE effect and it does seem a little smaller than it should be, we're planning a balance patch next update so we're open to feedback on the new skills.

you just don't know how to use it! pvp it can be used to push your enemy to where you want them as they move to dodge it you open fire or cast at one end of rock as you go around to flank they see it but don't know it won't hurt them when you out of line of sight. the fact that it moves slow gives you time to flank. pve is a good skill shot that will move in a line as you pull out other aoes. When life gets hard use a hammer! ppl up set about rangers skill when they sit on top of dps listings....

Nah the move itself is just broken..its not a pvp skill, its an general skill. everything should have a general usage. tornado atm has 0 usage, doesn't damage over half the time..but then again if this is how it should be intended then I guess plasma shield should only work half the time you cast it also..because its just an pvp move..right? >_> no..its aoe reach is smaller then the animation similar to fulmination and its cast speed isn't fast enough to flank at all lol people can just stand still and let it go through them and do nothing to them. This is the only move i've seen in action that can miss every single target still in sight of 6+...which shows its not really able to be used in any sense. So I as a prophet and warsin and templar and mage even agree this move needs to be fixed..especially if its only purpose would be umm.. "a pvp move to flank" 1k gold wouldn't be the appropriate price for such a minor move..if i wanted to cause a flank id be a mage throwing blizzard everywhere or engulfs. fix it please :D

For 1000 gold I should be able to use my skill to kill a level 2 pig. I cast it on the target, it casually strolls away, blissfully unaware that I am trying to kill it. Then a little swirling cloud eventually hits the area where I targeted, minus damage to the target. How am I using it wrong? Enlighten me please.  I would never pay 1000 gold for a level 45 skill that can only be used in pvp.  That makes zero sense, I'm sorry.

If by smaller you mean broken,  then I understand. :D

*** I finally got it to kill two pigs after several casts.  So it probably works about 5% of the time.

Overall I love this release, and thank you for it HCS.  Keep up the great work.  That said, going to add my bit regarding Tornado.

I did find one useless use for it.  It makes a good opener when targeting a single mob that is not moving.  Not, if I may understate, the most common situation.

Even if Tornado worked, I don't see how it works in PvP.  If I were a warrior or assassin, can't think of much I'd like better then seeing that animation start, the ranger tied to one spot for 3 seconds.

The easiest fix would either have it drop down into a reasonably sized circle, similar to Monsoon, or just increase the radius of the circle (still hitting all targets in path, with a much wider line).  Either make it useful as a party AOE when other AOE is on CD.  Other possibilities make it more useful for PvP or solo, or just more unique, but I'm not clear on what was intended with this spell.

One other tiny point.  Could we get a better animation?  Most tornadoes are exciting, did you have to pick one that looks like a dust devil?  They don't even have to be grey.  The color is based on the lighting/sun position/debris picked up/moisture in the air.  Realizing that having situational animation is beyond any reasonable scope (cool idea, but not now), here are some suggestions:

I've also noticed a similar problem with Blazing Arrow.  I cast the skill and sometimes it does no damage to the targets it has clearly passed through.
