hey fclark,

 

I'll try and answer your question the best I can. So my team of programmers, artist and designers have 90% of our focus (maybe even more, we're just doing little things for live game like today's new Legendary) on the next content releases. In creating this content we're play testing higher level areas, with more talent points, better equipment, more attributes, etc. With the growth of our stats at the higher levels and increasing values of haste / dodge / crit we felt we needed to make some changes to ensure we are happy with the next update in terms of balance. We're totally open to feedback however and we'll continue to strive to make the balance better.

 

Mojawk - I can't help wondering whether this strategy is just going to create a repeating problem. Isn't the same problem going to arise when we get to level 60, or 70, or ...?  And by rebalancing for higher levels you are destroying the balance at lower levels - a balance that had been refined through a lot of testing during beta.

 

Surely a better way to rebalance the higher levels would be to make these formulae more nonlinear, so that the extra points have successively less effect.

Love the new approach to gathering

 

Frustrated by the switch of the camera angle keys, but I'll get used to it (and can see the logic of looking right being the key on the right).

 

Extremely frustrated by the movement of the lower-azimuth camera angle key moving so far from the panning - but this one I won't get used to. Camera control keys really all need to be kept together. It would be a shame to have to switch off the wasd movement to fix this (though customized key binding would work).

 

Guess we'll see what the rebalancing effect will be, though first impressions are that maybe too many reinforcing changes might have been made at the same time.

You can teoretically have 2 respecs.

 

Reset before the patch and dont spend points -> spend points after patch -> see how you are doing -> use your reset respec to do chages that you like.

 

BAM 2 free respecs when new content hits :)

 

Maybe so, but it is already too late for the first of your two respecs. And advertised upgrade time did get delayed, so this strategy might have ended up being rather frustrating.

Thanks for the updates!

 

Just noticed the "craft all" button and was like oo awesome.

 

I'ma miss the "mace throwing" in the Void Tutorial, it was a nice cutscene :)

 

Good Job HCS for their hard work as usual!

I'm having a lot of fun running into every corner I come across, and walking forward when I want to tilt the camera down.

I always had the impression level 50 would be the last.  :ph34r:

Oh it's still there it just doesn't require any interaction any more. It triggers automatically.
