This buff should NEVER make it into the game ... this is one area that demands time and effort to be successful in (unless, like others, you buy locations) - why does this aspect of the game need nerfing ?

IF you're adamant about adding the buff, then randomise all the SE locations - otherwise, I could do a whole sweep, for EVERY SINGLE SE, in minutes ...

Have to agree with this as well.  I only hunt high level SE's and my "run" takes about 3 hours.  Introduce this buff and the only limitation I would have is the time it takes to travel back and forth to realms so we're talking 15-20 minutes.  Talk about adding an easy button.  Might as well just let us custom order SE's to be sent to our current location.

Screenshot everything!

Good Morning Pardoux!

This buff is not being added to the game :) Its name was featured in a past roadmap, but we removed it as we believe it's not something that should be added at this time in its current iteration (in other words: it needs reworked or discarded entirely). It was shown because Tilley asked what happened to it  :)

Thank you.

You pretty much already can do this without any buffs -

I don't think so Penny - going to each SE spawn site, and sweeping (potentially) the whole map is a pretty time-consuming process :)

Homer : Marge, don't discourage the boy. Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals .. except the weasel.

Eddie Izzard : The National Rifle Association say that guns don't kill people, people do. But I think the gun helps, you know ? I think it helps. I think just standing there going "BANG" - that's not going to kill too many people, is it ?

I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but it seems that everything I eat lately turns to poo ...

Thank you for the update Arioche.

If you end up going back to the drawing board for another SE related buff, I would recommend including SkyWizard in the conversation.

He is the most dedicated SE hunter in FS.

Lol - he's only just overtaken me - for YEARS i was #1 on the top SE table, but don't let facts alter your post ;) (that's not detracting from him overtaking me in any way shape or form tho)

@Arioche

After discussing potential changes for PvP ladder with BigGrim on the HCS discord, I was inspired by how strongly BG feels about offline players being unable defend themselves.

Name Reception

Skill 0.1% per point chance of activating a potion sent to the player

Context Players who are offline are limited to the buffs others can cast on them which are always going to be limited to 175 + Buff enchancer bonus. With this buff, allies and guild members can choose to send a potion to the player to help them defend on the ladder, bounty board and in guild vs guild conflicts.

At level 203 this will mean a 1 in 5 chance of a potion being activated, so if this buff was live, people will send 4-5 Zombie Brews to someone followed by 4-5 pride followed by whatever tradeable potions they will to send. Obviously with guild tagged potions people can keep trying over and over using the recall function without having to wait for the player to come online and return the excess potions.

This buff does have potential for abuse however we are allowed to block buffs from being casted on ourselves so this will either be blocked or be paired with the guild and allies "blocking level" to prevent others from sending unwanted potions but allowing trades from guild members.

Or just add decent level defensive buffs as RP packs. Or buff them? There are plenty of ways to make it easier to defend without adding a wonky buff such as that.

I'd much rather instead of a % chance to work it would be based on % effectiveness. So at level 203 it will be say 90% effective. Level 1000 buff will be level 900 and maybe reduce the duration to 90%.

As far as the standpoint goes for economy, this buff will be massive for the potion market.

As BG already stated in another posts. A fair and needed rework of RP packs would solve the issue. This would not involve adding a "block potion feature ?" adding all the potions to a block page like buffs ? there are 20 pages of potions in the game, so...

He never said blocking potions one by one. It would just be based off buff.  Adding RP packs in addition would be cool aswell. Maybe give RP packs more freedom of choice instead of being rigid.

Why not make Far Sight Skill works for Realm Chests instead? It would be a good addition as potion not a player's skill though

Again, no - search for them, or buy locations - game does NOT need dumbing down further

Looking for chests is just aimlessly walking around for the most part. There is some tips and tricks to do with how chests spawn, that aside it's the very definition of "dumbed down".

Some sort of Hot/Cold indicator will add more spice to such a dull chore. It doesn't even necessarily have to indicate it's on the map. But there could be one on a map close to you.

It's funny - in some of the threads, you cry out for the game to be made harder, but in others, you cry out for it to made easier. Wish you'd pick a stance and stick to it.

Chest hunting IS boring, it IS tedious and the keys, relative to the drops (for the most part) are horrendously expensive, but making a buff that tells you if there is a chest on a map, or even a map close to you is not necessary. You want chests, buy the locations that lots of other folk do, or use some of that 500K+ stamina you have to trudge the realms.

This buff is no different to the SE hunting one, other than a different goal in mind ...

There is nothing hard about walking around a map aimlessly with the footstep tracker. Something along the lines of what was suggested above will require at least a little bit more thought to participate in. However I can see how it would be intimidating to some to be something more than just aimlessly walking.

I think at least the average player could discern this complexity however.

I agree please do NOT let SE find easier. It is already pretty "easy" to find them if you have the map locations and a plan how to hunt them.

A "reveal" Buff for invisible Titans would be interesting, because they REALLY BURN stamina.

But all invisible things ingame are made to be invisible. So please let them be like that in future.

I 100% agree with you. Hunting for chests is the most boring aspect of the game - SE Hunting is a close 2nd. Any improvement to this is a good idea. Walking around for hours upon hours is not hard and stupid boring. The only "skill" involved is dedicating hours to press a,w,d,x,repeat.

Again with the not-quite-so-subtle dig at me.

So, how would having a buff that indicated if there was a chest either on the map or on a map within "x" level range require ANY more thought than the way it is currently - other than, of course, being an average player smart enough to actually cast the buff upon themself.

It just simplifies the process, exactly the same as it would have were it for the SE hunting instead. You want chests, look for them. You want SE's, look for them.

The system isn't broken ergo it doesn't need fixing.

Not sure why you keep bringing yourself into every argument. However we can agree to disagree here on some points. We both agree it is boring.
