I encountered a couple of bugs during a quest.

First of all, the guide tells me to enter a cave called "Crimson Passage", which requires level 37 for me to enter. Why does it do that when I am only level 31? The guide should take my level into account, and only guide me to entrances that I can actually access.

Secondly, on the minimap, the "Crimson Passage" is marked as requiering level 38 even though it says level 37 when I try to enter it.

Most areas are accessible at a level under the posted recommendation. There are a few exceptions (WB must be 45), but dungeons and other areas are generally accessed at level-1.

You can be summoned in only at 44. But you can't enter properly. Unly summoned.
Caligula --- Sintank --- Level 49.
Halt --- Rangetank --- Level 49.
d34thlye --- Sinwar --- Level 49.
Vitellius --- Healer --- Level 49.
Caligorilla --- Prophage --- Level 38.
Calinub --- N/A --- Level 1.

hi Cali \ :)/

was wondering if that quest listed in your picture is the one you were attempting to enter that crimson area for?

I don't know if there is a quest similar to the first lower level one we got where you go to the first low level crim cave to hide the fish about the area but if it's that quest your in the wrong area.

you need to go to the lower level crim cave which is uhm ( so bad with direction and not in game atm) the area with the wolves when you exit from ec where TR is located beyond that into the forest.

yah I found the crim areas confusing. stumbled on one I don't think I even had to go to yet unless I haven't done those quests yet.  Had some left overs but think my crimson ones were all completed till the continuation of the story line which can't be done till cap raises I believe.

do think areas need to be very specific to the quests as to what levels can enter and when or it does cause some confusion.

maybe they have to just go over that and fix if needed. idk.

Slow but steady wins the race or something like that.

I'm just taking it slow, not sure about the steady.

That doesn't help much when I am at level 31, which is 6 levels below.

Also, my quest has nothing to do with the Crimson Passage. I just happened to be in Nidaros on my way to Northam with some Tuna fish, and for some reason the guide tells me to go through a passage that I cannot access. I can easily get to Northam by traveling another way, but that is besides the point. I am reporting it as a bug that the guide misguides me.

What happens is the quest marker is trying to show you the "shortest route" and I had a similar issue where someone replied and mentioned that it has been on their "to-do" list to fix this problem.

So sometimes just need to read Questbook if quest tracker misleads you.

Actually, reading the quest text avoids this issue entirely.  Noting that the final destination is near Mythos, the shortest walking route from Nidaros becomes irrelevant.  Flying to Mythos and walking from there is obviously shorter whatever route you take.

It is besides the point what route is the shortest (whether I walk or fly or do something else). My point is that guiding me through a passage that I don't have the level for is clearly a bug in the guide system, and that is why I am posting this in the bug reports forum.

I don't care about being guided on a route that is longer than necessary, but I do care about being guided to a dead end.
