Regardless of if you have help from end content players. The XP rate in this game is so high that there wouldnt be enough demand for low level heroics to make a stable market out of it. People would just level out of the gear too fast.

This.

So much this.

While I understand the arguments for and against (being) boost(ed), the economy argument falls flat because of this reason.

A better way to (try) combat this issue, and greatly extend the amount of 'meaningful content', would be to do what other games have done (e.g. Vanguard, WoW, LotrO, irrc DAoC and even EQ2 allows for) , namely a Character Level XP-Blocker.

That way you can extend the 'mileage' of one's Gear for a far more extended amount of play time, making chasing BiS etc. a (far more) viable option. It would also help with the current Crafting issue of basically producing tons upon tons of Gear neither your character or anybody else really has a use for.

LotRO put its XP-Blocker in its Shop (the contrast with EQ2 couldn't be bigger, but I digress ;) ) so that is certainly an option to consider, as long as the cost to Lock and Unlock isn't too draconic. I for one would finally have something I would really like spending my EP on (have all together spend over 120 euro's already because I want to support the game yet most of it is unspent).
