But does anybody know of any programs similar to photoshop that are free?. Ive lost my copy of photoshop and id love to return to making avatars for all of you but i don't have a program that will work and i can't afford photoshop

You can try gimp. There were some guys here that did wonders with that software

Ive been trying to work with it, But it seems to be far more complicated then Photoshop was. I may keep working with ti but i was hoping something had came along besides Gimp. :^ Hopefully i can make it work.

For instance this is me attempting on Gimp compared to what i could do before. Somewhat disappointing.
