The game may be near its death indeed, it has the symptoms for over a year now in fact.

However, you can't really blame the people who are still playing the game and still fighting for an update that's just how much we love Eldevin. Both those who defend and complain about HCS' decisions with regard to Eldevin have one thing in common, they all want Eldevin to continue on, progress and get back on its feet. Given what we all know Eldevin has offered and can still offer in the future, it's normal for people to hold on.

I personally choose to believe that Eldevin is going to continue on till it has level 1,000,000 content. Though I'm completely aware what the facts are showing me ATM.

Looking at it objectively, there are numerous outcomes for Eldevin, such as:

1. Eldevin will end. (Most likely, everything ends even successful games that have been up for a decade end.)

2. Eldevin will keep going on its current state for a few more months/years for as long as the status quo remains. (Plausible)

3. Eldevin will get back on its feet due to HCS acquiring the funds for it. (Not likely, but plausible)

4. Eldevin will prosper again due to receiving funding from me who just became filthy rich and have access to unlimited $$$ for developing a cure for everything and I will buy a house and lot + a ferrari for each Eldevin player. (Yeah, totally in my dreams.)

Please tell me, is my mental state still questionable?

EDIT: ..... Well never mind, I'm pretty sure it is LOL.

I doubt that game like Eldevin will end. That is not smartest choice at all.

Either game gets up on its feet or they will sell the game to other company who has the resources to keep it going. Shutting down the game and locking it into closet and throwing away the key is just wasted time.
BUYING ALL EP 6G/ea. Huge amounts of gold. Also buying all high level gear, gems and rares with gold. Will not run out of gold so your offer is always priority. Buying everything.

Just to confirm, the development update that Mojawk posted in June still applies:

https://forums.hunte...showtopic=74316

We are no longer dedicating a full development team to Eldevin. If we did, there would be no Eldevin at all in a very short time, and no other HCS games either. I know it's disappointing to our loyal players, and it's a disappointment to us as well. But we are a small team doing the best we can.

We have never made promises or advertised exactly when updates, including level 50, will come since we knew these things would depend on any number of factors. So Kezza, no, we have not broken any rules. The game features in the game right now are exactly what we advertise and claim.

Some of responses to this thread have been edited because they were needlessly inflammatory. We don't mind criticism and feedback but as always, keep your conduct on the forums civil. Thank you.

check the thread about the event https://forums.hunte...143#entry976881then tell me it isn't false advertising or maybe i missed on what the new stuff is?

Don't get us wrong Mono, we all think this is an absolutely excellent game, thats we are so passionate andfrustrated about the lack of support from the makers.

It's just this game has been going for at least 3 years on top of the beta testing and it still has no endgame. When you have been playing for a few years, supported the game and been told there will be this update or that update, but then it doesn't arrive coupled with bugs not getting fixed and then after a longtime to be told the development is being scaled down due to lack of support (even though the lack of support is because the makers didn't advertise the game in the first place), I am sure you can understand we get rather frustrated to say the least.

Sorry about the long sentences and poor punctuation on this post, but you get the general idea :D

Thank you, I will sure try it out, it seems like a bit towards Runescape(on crafting part) with some story driven content. Tutorial seems a bit promising too. Yes I understand what you mean but online games being a hobby for me since late 90s I definitely seen worse than the formentioned(example an update literally changing a game to something else and worse, practically destroying it). However what is supposed to be the endgame and what it turned out to be without the updated you say that were expected, if I may ask.

Speaking of as it is a small community game it seems, which server tends to get most people. Ping is ok for both(below 120-140ms for US and over 80ms for EU) so both can be an option

However what is supposed to be the endgame and what it turned out to be without the updated you say that were expected, if I may ask.

Basically the endgame is supposed to be lvl 50, where the quests can finaly be completed, dungeons armour etc to match the level. On top of this, guilds were brought out (which just seems to be so people can chat crosserver rather than any actualy use) but never finished, Scribe profession is shown on players professions but nothing has been done about it etc. etc.

There are statements, of upcoming stuff soon which never appeared, by HCS staff part way through threads but I would be trawling through every post for them so these were just a few of the highlights that we are still waiting for.

this says a bit of lvl50 plus the bonus experience events that never arrived

https://forums.hunte...ic=73856&page=1

this is the guild being brought out but nothing has been done to develop or expand since.

https://forums.hunte...ic=73554&page=1

with what the guilds were suppossed to include

https://forums.hunte...ic=72997&page=1

this talks about a second expansion in June 2015, which we are still waiting for

https://forums.hunte...ic=69010&page=1

In june 2015 lvl 50 drateols lab was 90% ready, who knows what happened to the final 10% since

https://forums.hunte...ic=72202&page=1

the scribe prof appears but nothing actualy done about it

https://forums.hunte...ic=72257&page=1

The list could go on

When in doubt. Blame lag ;)

It would seem that the only way for Eldevin to get on its feet again is for there to be a great influx of players but how exactly is that gonna happen without any serious effort to advertise the game.

Hi BrenzyBud o/,

Actually there was a huge influx of players awhile back, '*member'? *south park...

When Eldevin was greenlit on steam we had an overkill of players and the servers ( all three) were lagging super badly.

Unfortunately that didn't last long. :c  Was it like a month maybe? can't remember.

Of course some reasons we know had to do with lack of guild system and auction house and/or player seller system because new players really expect at least those two things to be a standard of any mmo for game community and game economic reasons.

Slow but steady wins the race or something like that.

I'm just taking it slow, not sure about the steady.

This game should be redeemed if they want to make it live. The creators no longer want to deal with it at the moment. It's a shame, but it's like that :)

Goodbye everybody, I may come back in the game in 2058 biggrin.png

Hey Blissy! Yeah I remember that, back in Q4 2014 I think it lasted for months if I remember correctly. Then people started waiting for major updates, a lot of people got hyped about the guild update which didn't really help the game much in terms of content longevity. I'll even blatantly say that the guild update was pretty much a WASTE of time given that HCS as we know now didn't have the luxury of putting out unnecessary content aside from the level 50 and please we all know how long it took for them to release the guild update.

The guild update is still an update, an additional feature to the game I'll give it that. BUT was it what the game needed the most. Funny thing is that some of the people complaining about the lack of updates are the same people who kept pushing for the guild update thinking how awesome it'd be to be able to sing kumbaya with each other in a guild comprised mostly of alts and with an average active member count of 5-8, oh loooordd kumbayaaaaaa.

Edit: Sorry, I'm just losing my mind is all.

Dear HCS. As your members of staff quote and refer to

https://forums.hunte...showtopic=74316

Can I ask what is being done in an attempt to gain the following required to justify allocating a full development team to it?

Unfortunately HCS can't rely soley on word of mouth from their players, especially now, when the game has no sign of being finished anytime soon due to scaling it down (Players are unlikely to recommend something that is unlikely to be completed any time soon) your loyal players can only do so much to keep it going themselves.

With this in mind, to fully support this game (as they have stated they are doing), it makes sense that HCS really need to do something to try gain the following they require.

Also, considering it has been stated there is no longer a full development team for this game, we can only assume this means there is at least a partial team developing this game. Could you confirm that this is the case please? smile.png

a partial team stevie? look upon HCS' quotes as you would their timescale, it is non existent and the quotes are merely a means of trying to appease players, they are not true statements, the partial team very probably comprises of the Office cat and the mice it chases ( i was going to say 'catches' but if the cat follows HCS protocol, it very likely couldn't catch a cold)

All good points Fiz, but ranting only seems to result in replies that say alot but tell us nothing which seem to be more to pacify the population rather than answer, plus a refererence and link back to the post made in June 2016.

One can try with polite persistance, that way there is no reason for HCS to remove the post or to have cause to ignore it due to it being too demanding or forceful.

I am simply asking two direct questions that I am sure the majority of long term players would like to know, as there doesn't seem to be anything other than there is no time scale as yet, coming from asking when there will be updates. From the answers I/we get (providing they are answered) it will become clearer as to the future of Eldevin.

It is probably better if I ask these questions in a thread of its own rather than tacked on to this post as it may be lost in all the responses to the OP's post.

You've all got it wrong. This game is still currently on open beta testing, as can be seen from the numerous bugs. Level 50 content will naturally be released once this game is officially launched.

... Just kidding
We all know that level 50 content will never come out.

Talking about this topic...

Devs, please, please, could you send me any feedback about ticket number: EL‑029909

I'm also a supporter since game starts, and I love this game. I had a problem with supporter renovation payment and I have sent this ticket number: EL‑029909.

I've been waiting for 15 days, but i don't want to leave this issue open for more time.

Game content, game events, bugs and lags can wait forever if you want, but payment issues should be fixed quickly... i'm just saying.

Thank you.
