Arghhh, i just finished this quest, I recommend those that have, or have not accepted, please post on this, its not the easiest quest if you dont get all of them in the Demios Mortis quest and helps out those who could do with the 300k gp at the end.

If it helps you, the manner in which I found my 50 was to pick one creature I needed to kill in the DF besides Rangers and locate them. Found a lot of Rangers that way plus got 3 Thunderbolt scrolls, a Bottle of Brute's Blood, and a lot of Mortis to work on that quest as well. Since I'm now hunting the rest of the mortis, shall keep posting Ranger sightings here and hope others who have already completed Ranger Mercenary will do so as well.

killing 250mortises and a bunch of ravager for the XP gave me those 34 rangers... thats all

If you haven't killed your Braskan yet, hunting Thunder Demons for the Thunderbolt scroll is a good option. Siege Ogres for the Bottle of Brutes Blood too. And I'll keep posting Rangers here. You don't need that many more so should be soon for you.

I need 7 more rangers. I started also killing mortis' but I've done that quest now, so I'm onto killing Nightsouls they're not bad XP.
