Getting the same thing.  Looks like that error message is going to be in use when there's multiple servers to choose from to play on.

personally I see this as a relatively pointless exercise

Unless you spend the vast majority of your time farming dungeons instead of testing all aspects of the game, which is why I thought we were here.

Freezing, getting kicked, been like it all weekend, have given up on occasions and left it for a while.

Hamerod - when the game goes live there will be multiple servers which should prevent this happening

Just got crappy experience with Rorke and some unnamed player

Totally pissed off at that player and I will happily pass on their name to anyone who wishes to avoid them

Can this be expanded/improved at all? And when I type /who I don't need to know I am on line, no really I don't, because I can remember typing /who a moment or two ago and I am pretty sure I am aware that I am still here, so there is no point in putting me on the list

I have mentioned this elsewhere but I think a simple Code of Conduct should be drawn up and adhered to by all players, or I am going to have one hell of an iggy list!

Sorry FX but I agree with Alpion here.  I have beta tested before and also moderated forums before, but this was my first mmorpg and I was fortunate that I hooked up with a couple of great guys who kept me right and gave freely of their time helping me getting to grips with many aspects of this type of game.

When I helped to start up and run another non game related forum, I wrote a simple Code of Conduct for all members and they all had to accept the terms therein or they would not be allowed access, perhaps a similar thing could be produced outlining expected behaviours.

You will always get one or two who will just do their own thing regardless, but it is clear that in a community such as Eldevin, they soon become known to all and will soon find nobody willing to help them.

Perhaps the need/greed/pass system does need to be explained somewhere, especially for new players like me it was a new concept.  I helped someone last week in a dungeon, we agreed to greed on all gems and let the roll decide and I passed on everything else as I had no need for it.  We hit five very good gems and he/she won all of them on the roll, but that's the way it goes, I didn't have an issue.  He left with a pack full of gear and gems (even offered me some which I turned down) and thanked me for my help.

There was good comms between us during the quests, he went away happy, and I was happy to have been able to help another player who expressed his thanks.

Doing a random thing is pointless, I could end up with an item I don't want and cant pass on so I have to destroy or sell it, I would much rather be able to make the decision for myself on what I do or do not want.  I lucked out on the time I mentioned above but hey, that's all part of it.

It is not the system that is at fault, it is the use, or misuse, that is the issue, whether through a lack of awareness or just plain ignorance. 

Sorry for the rather long winded response    I guess it could be wrapped up by saying that players need to be educated and informed as to what is expected from them.

Following some discussion last night, it was decided an Drunk emote could be fun (surely not too hard to get examples in Elgin )

Also instead of Liedown command how about a Sunbathe one for the many beaches around

I will probably go through 50 mice and a few carpal tunnel surgeries with all the clicking required.

Either one would be spectacular in my opinion lol.

I'm on my 3rd mouse, no kidding either, and my shoulders permanantly ache I hate to think what effect using a laptop for so long is having on my important bits

Of course if the bloody game wasn't so good I wouldn't have all these problems

IT WOULD BE GOOD IF SOME RANKINGS ARE ALLOTED TO THE PLAYERS WEEKLY................

TOP 3 OF EACH CLASS (RANGER, MAGE, HEALER , TANK ETC)  WHICH MIGHT ADD SOME EXTRA SPICE TO THE GAME~ 

                 ALSO WE WOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE SOME BEST GROUPS FOR BOSS FIGHTS!!
