I have been playing this game for about 18 months. I love this game and have enjoyed playing it. I have supported this game since I started playing. I do think that the devs of this game have refused to listen to the players, have refused to give this game the attention it truly deserves, and most of all do the required maintenance that a game needs. No matter how small the team is, maintenance is needed to at least keep a small community of players playing. I understand bills have to be paid and money has to made in order to do pay those bills but............ if HCS doesn't give the basics how can they ask players to continue to support this game? I personally ask the HCS team to not let this game DIE! This is a small but tight knit community that truly enjoys the friendships that has developed during game play. Do small things instead a 1 large thing at a time, advertise, and do regular maintenance. once you get players to start playing give them encouragement to continue to play by making sure it is playable.  Listen to players, and be more honest with the players, and most of all communicate with the players. Please, Please, Please do not abandon us when we as players have not abandoned yall (HCS).

The current World Boss loot is outdated, so why not update it.

 

Firstly instead of the chest with maximum 10 drops in it (depending on group size), why not change it to be like the event world bosses (wolf, dragon, PK) where everyone that participates gets a chest for the kill.

 

Secondly, get rid of the glims! Change the loot table to be something like 50% chance at defined gem. 20% chance at item. 10% chance at absolute gem. 10% chance at infernal flake. 5% chance at greater flake.

 

For the remaining 5% of the loot table add in a vanity set for each Boss, but vary the percentage for each piece dropping. So 2% feet, 1.5% legs, 1% arms, 0.4% body, 0.1% helm. These of course are bound on equip so they can be traded, and the rarer ones would provide a nice valued item to the economy for people to try to get.

 

Lastly, to go with those new vanity sets, add in achievements to equip the full sets so that people will have more incentive to go for them.

Here are a few of my suggestions going forward, making this topic with some of my smaller suggestions as the bigger ones can go in their own topics. Also a few things not to do.

 

Some (or all) of these have been brought up in one way or another, just wanted to get my thoughts down.

Things not to do

 

Dont increase gem size drops in new dungeons

I thought that Defined was a good point to stop gems personally, but we now have absolutes dropping. I dont think anything higher should drop from dungeons or farmable means. Perhaps the odd quest reward of a supreme is fine. The gem building game is one of the only long lasting things you have here, and with each tier up you go in farmable drops, you drastically reduce this.

 

Dont increase rep gain rewards

I have seen a few people ask for the daily rep quests to give more reputation, this is not needed. With a bit of dedication and time spent you can complete these for the vanity and achievements. Again this is one of the only long lasting things to do in game.

Small suggestions

 

Re-introduce group queue pvp

The code for group queueing is in the game as we could previously do it. Please reintroduce it, BUT, at the same time seperate the queues. THis way solo players could solo queue, and if 2 groups want to test each other out they could organise a group queue game.

 

Add more collectables

Currently the only collectables are the foutnmain coins. You could add so much more of these, random mundane drops, random rare mats from gathering etc. Lots of options. Add achievements onto them too.

 

More achievements (steam achievements)

People like achievements and will go a long way to get them, so add in more. Also add the current ones onto steam if you can as steam people love them too so will play more to get them.

 

More achievement awards

Make some more rewards (vanity, pets, mounts) for completing the harder to achieve achievements.

Medium suggestions

 

Make story mode max 2 players and change rewards.

Make Dungeon mode desirable by keeping it as is with current rewards (although perhaps add something like this too). Make Story mode available for people to finish quests and to do solo or with one friend to build relics to obtain set gear too. It should not be a place for people to go in with a group of 5 to grind quickly. There should be more rewards for doing them solo, and less for doing as a duo.

 

Flesh out guild content

Guilds are coming, but add in GvG, guild storage, guild halls, guild vanities etc, lots of things can be done with guilds.

 

Private Dwellings

Has been brought up before, still a good idea.

 

Hidden quests

Hide some quests that arent visible in the questbook. Make these quests also have no markers so they are challenging to figure out.

 

Revamp World Bosses

Do this suggestion from a while back, got good feedback...

Can you add this in for Halloween event please. These guys walking round EC are the same size as us so its not like you need to make the design for the vanity.

 

Just let us obtain and wear it :)

hmmm i know this is taboo but i was browsing on some websites including naughty ones and on most of them there was an ad for a game that same day i turn on the tv and i see the ad for that game on the tv so i figured hmmm let's check it out

 

it was a 1 month old game as in release date had 50k subscribed people and at that moment there were 6000 people playing

 

game was some clash of clans/tribal wars/ travian/ikariam etc etc etc  rip off but anyhow some stupid advertisements got a ton of people playing albeit for a short time players are players  so please once you guys get the first chapter done or close to done cuz forgotten ruins and infernal garrison are also chapter one but when drats lab comes out relaunch the game on steam get it on the front pages etc etc and throw out some adds 

 

to raise money if there's a lack of it give some sort of new founder packs with some exclusive stuff.

 

 

an auction house is absolutely not needed guilds have no use if there's a lack of players to join them.

 

most of the stuff is fairly easy you can grind story modes without problems and dungeon modes are for the more prepared.

 

so once player numbers rise make sure that it's a lot better to do dungeon mode with people of the same level rather than grinding story modes a lot of people want a challenge but can't go for the challenge because they lack the player counts to do it.

Why lower exp ???  The extra exp is irrelevant, just do your extra runs if you need them to get the set.  Plus you have been doing group instances also for exp, you stated you are in asv. Maybe the extra levels will motivate the poor loner who is stuck just runnung bt, rg alone getting his set and does NOT HAVE ALTS.

Where to hunt*:

 

Before getting too far in, I thought it would be good to edit in BG's confirmation of the required size of realms for spawning to occur and the relevant level at the beginning:

 

10 x 10 is correct. Bear in mind, this INCLUDES the borders of the realm. Global critters spawn in Realms of level 25+.

What follows is a general list of "preferred" hunting grounds provided by many players throughout FS. The relevance of the "Just Elite" or "no creatures" (where noted) is simply because a player will not have to worry about hitting something else while using the number key to smack.

 

Ramdal Caves: Level 25 and the lowest level place they start spawning. Not my favorite, but it does cost less via portal to get here.

Iluore Dragon Pit  level 92: 10 x 10 (no creatures listed). Thanks out to Rexarr.

Tepal Cave (Level 140): Just Elite.

Rarek Dungeon (Level 150): Just Elite.

Kozyu Crystal Catacombs(Level 225): Just Elite.

Vashku (Level 235): Just Elite.

Ragnok Lair(Level 260): Just Elite.

Trvons Clearing (Level 310): Just Elite. Thanks out to yghorbb for the info.

Sphinx Lair (Level 370): Just Elite... thanks out to yotwehc for the info. BG's favorite spot.

Xinderoth's Library (Level 421): No creatures. Thanks out to ironlegs for the info.

*Please note on the above areas:

 

Sometimes the fact that an area is "quest blocked" is noted. After some careful thinking, I decided this is irrelevant for the general idea of the post.

 

My personal advice (since I don't have the necessary knowledge) is: Be sure to check your quest book (on left-hand sidebar under Character). If you are a player that tries to avoid doing quests, then simply avoid the areas near where a quest is necessary or ask around (or in this post). Not all of the above areas are my personal preferences. However, I ended up deciding to NOT exclude areas that "may" be quest blocked. 

 

Global Booster:

 

On the left-hand sidebar under Upgrades (thanks out to Scoops1972 for correcting), click on Loyalty. Here you may find various potions for gold or Loyalty Tokens (I personally suggest purchasing for gold) for Global Booster.

 

This works like Doubler, but the nuance is pretty important: Global Booster ups the number of kills registered for an equivalent stam usage. This makes Conserve useful. HOWEVER, do NOT hit regular creatures while this buff is active. It will drain your stam like Doubler but it won’t do anything for your kills.

 

Besides the loyalty section, there are other various potions available with this skill in the Auction House (AH) if you select it in the “Grants Buff” drop-down and is also an option via Composing.

 

This pot will help you get more more kills at a stam cost that is equal to the extra kills. However, when your conserve activates, you will get the extra kills at zero stam cost. 

 

“Essential” buffs (or potions**) to use:

Conserve

Lightfoot

Animal Magnetism

Reckoning

 

Other possible buffs/potions to use:

 

Summon Shield Imp- If you really care about your Kill Streak (KS). Crud happens, lol.

 

Unbreakable- If you care about your gold. This is relevant to "avoid" repair costs to a "large" degree. Also see the Item Use section further down for additional advice.

 

If you compose, these are highly recommended on events where frag stashes are dropped by the global creatures (please note that there is some additional info on this a bit lower down***):

 

Find Item (FI)- This is player-goal and GE dependent. Useful in frag GEs IF you compose.

 

Lady Luck- This runs in tandem with FI.

 

**If you are using potions (pots) then you should consider the following. Keep in mind that Global Booster is only available currently as a pot

 

Distil: This will increase the power of your pots. It should "theoretically" be used before drinking any pots. 

 

Brewing Master will allow your pots to last longer. You need to decide whether this is relevant or not based on how long you will be smacking. With current maximum level 175 buff (not including the potion) a 30 minute potion will last 57 minutes when drunk after this pot is activated. 45 min = 85 and 60 min = 113. 

 

In most cases (if you are planning on smacking for more than half an hour, you need to be aware of what is better for you), as soon as you are done drinking ALL your pots, you may want to deactivate both Brewing Master and Distil in order for Reckoning to work "better".

Item use:

 

Since most GEs are level 25 creatures, it may be convenient to minimize the number of items worn to have stats enough to one-hit but fewer to save on repairs.

 

You need to weigh the importance of your KS and consider how efficient you are in paying attention to your tick in order to switch for your stam-gain items at the appropriate time.

 

*** FS options for when there are frag stash drops from global creatures: 

 

You should know that there are two options that may be important for you under Character, then Preferences then User Interface. At the time of this edit, both are the last two under Miscellaneous at the bottom right of this screen.

 

1st: Auto Open Fragment Stashes: When you are smacking the global creatures that drop frag stashes, this will automatically open those stashes. The fragments go to your composing frags stash. This is extremely handy since you could have only one bp space open and it will suffice for your smacking. Since items are currently bound, I have had a hard time understanding (though there could be a reason current OR FUTURE) why you wouldn't have this box checked. 

 

As of this edit, I can say that my investigations have shown that it opens only those stashes received as drops. I hope this continues that way. In other words, according to my experience, it does NOT open anything taken from the Item Mailbox. This is relevant because it means that if you find a frag stash in a chest somewhere, it is not opened when you take it from your Item Mailbox. It also does not auto-open the Frag chests given as prizes in some GEs. I would hope this NEVER changes because, though the Frag chest prizes are currently bound, the chests found in the realms that require a key and contain Frag stashes are not. Some may prefer to send to Guildies or sell. 

 

Since the above has not been confirmed by HCS and "could" change, I'd suggest using this option ONLY during the frag GEs and deactivating (unclicking the boxes) afterwards, just to be safe. 

 

2nd: Hide Fragment Stash Logs. The only thing this really does is alleviate the pressure on your log. What it means is that you will no longer receive log messages telling you how many frags you receive when you open a frag stash. 

 

Any further discussion with expert opinion on adjustments is appreciated.

 

I tried to make it as simple as possible for all levels and also with a view towards it attempting to be “ever-lasting” (willie wonka reference). Hence, I wasn’t too interested in listing possible pots, ie., check out how vague I was on the Global Booster.

All of the other types of fish in TA are easy to fish as they are all next to each other. However the 4 trout spots are split by a big inland pile of rock that you have to run around, makes it very annoying. Please change.
