#995672 Love Bites update

Hello everyone,

 

This year's Eldevin event : Love Bites is now live until Monday the 25th of February.
 
The following changes went live:
  • Animation cancelling on spell effects.
  • Melee auto attack can now be interrupted by other spells (when you are out of range for example).
  • Incinerate's Fireball projectile no longer moves mid air when you are moving.
  • Updated JOpenGL to 2.3.2 from 2.2.4
  • Increased max screen size to support 4k (UI does not scale - limitation).

 

The following changes were hotfixed:

  • Valentine's featured shop is now live.
  • Dragon's breath effect did not cancel as it should.
  • Sell prices tooltip should update when the item changes, i.e.: when you add or remove gems to an item.
  • Sell prices tooltip for item links now reflect if the item has gems.

Hello everyone,

 

This year's Festive Eldevin event : Icicle's End is now live! Find the Frozen Portal in the center of Eldevin City to start your festive adventure! Running from now until the 7th of January 2019, you can journey to the Winter Cabin in the Glacial Plains and earn awesome festive rewards.
 

The following changes went live:

  • Fixed ranges of the following spells to match the tooltips: Blazing Arrow, Storm, Erupt, Despair, Benediction, Miasma, Monsoon and Creeping Vines.
  • Fixed a talent bug where the Overpowered would buff damage by 10/20% instead of 20/40%.
  • Fixed a talent bug where Nightmare would only give 10% instead of 15% if you had two points in it.
  • Fixed a bug where Frenzy and Starlight talents would not give the correct amount of mana regeneration.
  • Changed the PvP battlegrounds achievements from 1/200/500/2000 to 1/25/50/100 and updated the steam achievement.
  • Added some more validation to Lethal Concoction in an attempt to fix a bug where the status effect would stay after exiting the puddle.
  • Fixed a bug where farms could be left behind indefinitely.
  • Fixed various spelling mistakes.
  • Festive recipes are now available for Cooking and Alchemy.
  • Item vendor sell price now shown on the tooltip, some prices may vary slightly at times.

Known issues:

  • Lethal Concoction does not deal damage to creatures if they started as untargetable when the puddle was cast.

Hi,

 

Thanks for the report. I've improved this behaviour so they stop even if they are in mid patrol. If you happened to talk to them while they were already moving they would keep going and close your shop.

 

This should resolve the issue, it will be in the next update.

This will be in the next build as it's something we've wanted for a while. It may mean more spam, but overall it should be a welcome addition.

 

It meant rewriting a new text line component from scratch to handle more than just text for the people who say it shouldn't be hard to code. <_<

Have you tried to change your key binds in the options? Like for example assign key number 3 to slot 2 and vice versa.

 

We are currently investigating some bugs with different keyboard layouts.

More logs/walls of text would be great to at least make sure this is all the same problem.

Guys, there's any chance this problem with the lighting is exclusive to players who use macintosh?


Yes this seems to be a Mac OS X only bug, probably not much you can do unless you can update your driver. It would help knowing what graphics card you have and what Mac OS X version you are using.

Hi,

 

I will have a fix for this using the newt opengl renderer in the next update. We were still using the awt robot to do some mouse moving, but I've fully moved this to it's own system which should fix this for you.

 

Just stay using the newt renderer in the future as it is the recommended renderer.

 

If you do want to change it you'll find the option in the graphics options at the bottom.

 

The next update will be next week.
